@jaimonga hi . I started seeing Dr Serge Lanoue in Mississauga . Did a consultation with him and he said I didn't need the digital motion x rays. He sent me for regular spine xrays and he is treating me for my C1 & C2 That Are out of position/twisted . He is fantastic !!! He works w a chiropractor who does the Digital Motion xrays if he feels they are needed .

@@jaimonga Mine definitely has been a direct relationship to long covid. I also had/have Chiari Malformation which I was decompressed in 2017, but never had issues up until getting covid twice and developing long covid.

They all looked at me and said, "But you've never broke your neck and your imaging only shows loss of curve." You don't have to have a broken c1 c2 to have cci!!!

Right? I’m on day 197 of a “migraine.” No migraine meds help and I keep asking the neurologist if he’s sure it’s a migraine and not something else. The only thing that helps is gabapentin which is a nerve pain med. I cracked my neck the other day and my right arm went numb so I went to the chiropractor and X-rays show my c1 and c2 vertebrae are twisted and I’ve lost the curve to my neck. Researching cci and I have all the symptoms - so not a migraine but pinched nerve mimicking a migraine and pinched arteries restricting blood flow and causing me to pass out if I slouch. I’m pissed at all of the doctors I’ve seen for this (2 emergency room visits, neurologist, cardiologist, endocrinologist and pcp) who just shrug and throw medicine at me even though it doesn’t work. Starting chiro treatments 3x a week and doing home therapies while hugging my gabapentin for the slight relief it provides.

Is it true that a Flexion /Extension scan with movement is required for diagnosis? I was sent for said scan but ended up not getting it with movement just Flexion then Extension. I also have Chiari Malformation and Cervical Stenosis C4,5,6 The outcome was no CCI though I didn't get the scan I needed.

I live in Tennessee and no dr I have seen believes in CCI/AAI. I have hEDS and horrible neurological and physical symptoms and am losing my ability to walk well and fear soon I will lose the ability to walk at all. Ive been to all the major hospitals and seen over 13 drs for these symptoms as well as had SO MANY CTS, XRAYS, vestibular testing, and MRIS! My genetic dr 100% said I have it but NO OTHER DR HERE agrees with it and wants to treat it. No money in the cure, I suppose.....🙄😮‍💨

Does this make sense: I’m struggling with multi-system issues and cannot seem to get any neurologist to figure it out…when I was born with Chiari, whiplash injury untreated in childhood, reverse curvature, 2014 devastating whiplash leading to C4-C6 fusion (and a L4-S1). GI issues confirmed neurological. Heart and BP issues confirmed neurological. Says “vagus” to me. But my neck is TIGHT - like the opposite of CCI. Does that also happen? My muscles all over tend towards contraction and I am almost always in stress response. I’m autistic as well. My next neuro appt is Aug 19.

Thank you! I’m sharing this with as many people as I can! I wish I could find a doctor to begin with. My son’s MD who is mold/Lyme specialist, mentioned to us that this may be a possibility. I think he does, and I’m scared. I may call you guys tomorrow, but we can get him to Mayo as a charity case, so we may go there if it’s a possibility. Great info!!
