Would the crash pad 84717-g2000 from the bottom still hold in place, if it were NOT to be snapped into from the top by the speaker grill?.I ask becoz i want to be able to use a 3-4" 3rd party speaker fancy grill from the top instead of the OEM speaker grill.Would that be possible?.With a 3rd Party speaker grill, i would just have to make a single circular hole in the dash and not much precision cutting, like you did.Can u advice?.Thanks.

Its up to you actually how you want to do it 😁. Since the connector from amp to front as speaker only 2 wire. Please check the original speaker specification, so get close to specification.

The top cover grill has a clip and it snap/lock with the bottom panel.

Where does the connector of the upper grill plug into?.The part selling online, has a connector to the frame of the upper grill, which is separate from the speaker.can you advice?.Thanks.

There are 3 parts: speaker, bottom fitment and the upper grille. The upper grille snap or clipped into the bottom fitment. You need to get all 3.

Cant, car only got 1 usb, port. You can loaded all your music into your phone and play from android auto or car play.

The speaker part # 96350-F2100. Tweeter , no idea. Ioniq already got tweeter speaker.

The top cover part number is 84716G2900. The 84715 is for EV or PHEV.

The EV part got LED indicator on it. You use EV part, no function for the LED. Not sure how it will fit also.

Yes, correct. If use it on hybrid, there is no plug to the LED and will make it more troublesome to fit it on the dash.

Hi yes, the whole setup is based on EU Head Unit that come with harman kardon 7 channel amplifier that can connect to woofer and center dash speaker. You can get from ebay or any european online market place portal. With Head unit and amp, will get 4 channel. Added woofer and center speaker for full 7 channel audio experience. All original parts.

The wiring for the front speaker is from the original amp. If you plan to use EU based head unit, you need to get the amp as well. The amp is a 7 channel that got connection for sub woofer and center dash speaker.

@@coolclouds6253 I cannot find the original wiring harness that connects the amplifier & head unit. I plan to use PUZU PZ C7 aftermarket amplifier with its Hyundai Wiring harness with the EU HeadUnit 96550 G2252.Will it work?.

Can i have your email? I can send you the pinout for EU head unit with part # 96550-G2250/G2251/G2252. The audio from this model is from spdif signal (spdif+, spdif-, spdif gnd) that connect to amp.

@@varmaTrini Send you the pinout. The 2252 audio signal is not base on the 8 speaker line. From HU is digital out (3 signal) like i mentioned on previous reply. PUZU unit, if can accept that signal the out to speaker it will work. Otherwise it will not be compatible. You need to get a converter to convert digital out RCA but you mght experience in droping of sound quality. If you can send me picture of your original head unit, i might be able to advise.

Wait a second, you did all that to just recess the speaker grill down into the dash instead of leaving it there as is? Also, if you do all that, please upgrade that center channel speaker. It's not bad, BUT there are much better option for clarity a d precision audio out there. Don't do all that and not replace speaker. Please.
