Plaza is Spanish (derived from Greek), also means square or gathering place, the English usage (which is actually from Latin) for a circle like this is circus such as Piccadilly Circus or Oxford Circus in London. So this place could be Asturis Circus! I absolutely love your builds! I wish they came out daily.

My friend, this is your city. This is your artistic masterpiece. You are the one that devotes hours of your time marveling at the creative choices between colors and the uniqueness of the the structures. What you are building is not only beautiful but it's a reflection of who you are as an individual. Those people in your comment section that seem to criticize your every decision, whether it's the green pedestrian roads or the accuracy of your tropical paradise, simply have no right to do so. This is your baby. I have much respect for every decision you have made and I will NEVER tell you how to raise your child! Much love!

I remain very eager to see more of this. Your experience in building Aurelia is really paying off. As for providing shelter or shade (across public transport area's), maybe you could use some coloured glass, slightly purple or lilac, representing glass that absorbs some but not all of the Sun's radiation. If they can build space elevators, that should be doable.

In big tropic cities like Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Jakarta, etc. Shaded walkways are very important. They'll either has pedestrian tunnels or Shaded skywalks all over the city, especially within the vicinity of major public transportation stations.

I love the green spaces on the roofs. and the teal of the pedestrian areas really pops amongst the whites and blacks and greys. The ads also help with the colours too. The lights are brilliant, I love how colourful it gets/stays at night. its really pretty. I love the idea of having pedestrians above all the cars (though I hope for breathing sake they are all electric, lol). The trams and trains going everywhere is nice because public transport feels better than everyone driving around on the roads and stuff. I cant wait to see the rest of the central areas, and see how the suburbs and industrial areas look like.

Hey! I'm from near that circle in New York, it's called Columbus Circle and it's a roundabout (one of 3 in Manhattan, I believe). The Time Warner building has a huge mall on the first few floors, even going subterranean, and the rest is office. There's also a Subway station underneath, which has lots of shops and good connections. It's cool to see what a future iteration of this plaza could look like!

Regarding realistic walking patterns, consider the shortest possible route between corners. When you were complaining about the righthand side of the screen around 25:10, I definitely want to see people going from the bridge in the middle to the large doorway in the building at the top, and then others cutting from the lower-right to the upper-left tram stop area.

Really loving the series so far. The lighting is fantastic. I like the green pedestrian paths, but I really do think they should be different colors on different levels, to sort of break up and distinguish the area. LIke, maybe leave the main level green, and have the second level be orange or something. But it still looks pretty cool either way.
@Illkiron2 жыл бұрын
Loving Asturis! I think adding trees to the green pathways may solve the no shade issue, and it will still be possible to see pedestrians
@henrik19542 жыл бұрын
Would be sick to see some kind of old style billboards in an older part of town, or maybe just at lower levels since new holographic signs would be too expensive for the lack of visibility?? Could also bring some variation and contrast to the plaza! I also think it would be cool to some kind of glass roofs above the pathways (as someone else suggested), as trees at such an elevation would be really hard to maintain, but maybe that's just a bit too much of "realism". Anyways love the series!

You should do more of these grass/garden rooftops on buildings like in 15:52, especially on the large-but-not-too-tall buildings. This is also a good opportunity to plant violet or purple plants on them as well, which is good for contrasting colors. On some of these buildings, you just placed ploppable asphalts with textures. Perhaps you could add more invisible paths coming in and out of buildings, I think someone of the larger ones didn't have enough. Like here in 16:26, you could have at least two entrances on each towers. In some parts you could make the wide invisible paths fork into several narrow ones, each coming to separate entrance doors leading to the same building like you have at 20:46 and 20:58. Have the paths split up within the buildings more often as well like you did in 16:52. (Obviously the buildings have lots of different entry points on the ground floors) And a little tip: when building these green plazas/walkways, you can avoid clipping by placing the detailing first (planters, benches, etc.) before placing the invisible paths. It will be more interesting when the paths get split up by planters and maybe vendors/kiosks too.

I think that it is necessary to put small planters on green squares, in places where people do not go. The absence of trees in such places creates a lot of solar radiation, creates a feeling of stuffiness. In real life, plants are placed on every pedestrian path between skyscrapers. It seems to me that the city looks more futuristic with plants at high levels

Hey iam from Germany ,15 years old and love your work. Maybe you could work more with terrain and nature.That would change a lot. The theme of this city would also match with nature and terrain editing. Editing: Of course it would be harder for you but you are the beste cities skyline player I’ve ever watched. I can’t imagine it would be any problem for you. The city would also have so much other chances. Maybe you would also like to built some old historic buildings. History of a city is the most important thing for me.

Perhaps it's just me, but I don't feel the lush tropical jungle vibe from your vegetation. Love it! Is there any way to group lights together, so that when they flicker on in sets, each building activates in a similar set? Seeing each spotlight turn on at a random point is a bit off-putting, though it isn't going to ruin the city or anything.
