Having a hard time controlling your forward move to the baseball? Many hitters focus on getting their energy going back to go forward rushing toward the impact zone with the baseball. If you think about when an athlete is in the weight room deadlifting or back-squatting, to get the maximum amount of controlled kinetic energy the weight is driven from the ground. The same goes with hitting. The weight should be loaded down into the ground in the backside. Ultimately allowing the hitter to control the timing of his forward move to the baseball.
