Bank is my favourite Central Line station. I like the way it curves all the way around. I always thought that was cool.

Especially when they get stuck in the fare gates, step on your feet and push to get onto the train. Gotta love them...

It's probably because passengers were taking too long. Trains come every 2-3 minutes, so 10 seconds can make a surprisingly big difference. This happens on the Victoria line as well, and it has no curved platforms... Also, stations were curved because they had to follow the streets above.

The station was built in the early 1900s, I doubt people who had probably never been on anything more than a horse and carriage were particularly bothered by curved platforms. And the driver can see the platform through CCTV monitors in the cab.

The central line is the line i use to get to work and back. I'd never change at bank/monument though, you have to walk for ages! I had to today to get the central line from the district/circle....nightmare :-/!

Not all Tube trains sound the same, that is the Central line's 1992 Stock, it's only on the Central line and the short Waterloo & City line

I know what you mean...to be honest, I don't know. I guess it's just the way the trains work. Jubliee Line trains also has a special noise when they start up.

Do you have any information about the premature aging of the Central Line Stock? Apparently the 1992 stock isn't holding up as well according to Tfl (but we don't get much company literature seeing as I'm in NZ!)

Well the 1983 stock was unsuccessful because of the doors being small not the windows. I just don't like the huge single window, I just think it looks strange...But I do like the external doors and the warning noise for the doors closing...

Hate smell chemical on the Central line trains is smell like dogs. Shit I don't want like this anymore. I like a real trains be clean and freshment better than smell horrorible chemical on a Central line trains.
