Central London to STANSTED Airport in 50 MINUTES! | Stansted Express

Today we'll be checking out Stansted Express, an airport rail link which connects London Liverpool Street Station and Stansted Airport which is about 68km (42mi) northeast of Central London. The trip takes just under an hour and is operated by Greater Anglia, a railway which primarily operates commuter services to points north of London. The sub-brand recently began using brand new Class 745/1 trains, manufactured by Swiss based Stadler Rail. Stansted Airport has long been a major hub for several budget airlines including Ryanair, Tui, and Jet2. Other UK Airport Express Trains as of now should replace their old trains for new ones Seeing Greater Anglia class 745 for Stansted Express is too beautiful and very stunning.

Nah it’s hella quicker on the 10 car 720s when they r sometimes on the route tho rarely mainly rush hour mornings depends if most of the 745s r faulty or away for repair maintenance

You should get a railcard. I went on the Stansted Express yesterday and it cost me £16 return.

Other videos on KZbin discuss how the gates at Liverpool Street allow you thru for travel to the intermittent stops like Tottenham Hale using contactless but there is no way to tap out at Stansted and you will likely get a hefty penalty charge for not having a TICKET. Plus there are big queues to leave the Stansted Airport station while they make checks and collect penalties. There are strong suggestions that the railway makes a fat profit from this rather than from installing the tap-out facilities that would make it easier for the travellers. I'm not asserting that myself naturally. 🙄

How to get from Victoria london to liverpool street to catch this train to STN?

The best option here is to take the Victoria line to Tottenham Hale - this is much quicker, more direct and actually cheaper than trying to change at Liverpool Street.

Innit back then they had to divert trains via Stratford Lea Bridge line as there was usual weekend engineering works between Bethnal green hackney downs mainline route so yeah bit of a difference there

@@dariazielinska5639 using your card to touch on the barrier, you have to use a paper ticket. You can buy the paper ticket with a card though.
