Some hand held camera Latin Music action from a Concert in New York Central Park featuring Eddie Palmieri and what could be Harlem River Drive performing "Vamonos P'al Monte".
Apologies for the bad quality but this is a piece of history that should be out there!

Just tremendous historical footage. Digging on the interviews conducted by the master MC Izzy Sanabria. Hilarious back and forth with the German babe. Fantastic sense of community in those days … such a soulful mix of lovely folks. Frankie Dante was a unique artist, what a beautiful group of talented young musicians of the day. I recognize a few familiar faces with Frankie’s band. Chickie Fuente (Trombone) also played with Joe Bataan. I believe Markolino Dimond (RIP) on Piano. Felipe Luciano who did spoken word, and hanging In the background, Ralph Mercado (RIP). Larry Harlow (RIP) and the band were cooking! Eddie “Guagua” Rivera (RIP) on bass brought a ton of goodness to the table. Seguida rocked!!! The legendary Eddie Palmieri with Quintana (RIP), his brother Charlie (RIP), the Gonzalez brothers Andy (RIP) and Jerry (RIP), and Victor Paz (RIP) were explosive. WOW!!! And of course, La Lupe (RIP) was absolutely EN FUEGO!!! So many of these fine musicians made their transition but we are so fortunate to have this footage to help cement their legacy. BIG GRACIAS for this archival footage. MORE MORE MORE !!!

Gran año, gran ciudad y grandes musicos.

This is a real good latin concert at my hometown New York City where lots & lots of people came by at Central Park in the early 1970's to see real good shows in the old days. Especially performers where every musicians & singers are Puerto Ricans & Dominicans too when they're on stage playing Salsa Music. For all Caribeño Latinos but exactly like Latin Woodstock in NYC🇵🇷🇩🇴🗽🏙️🏞️🎉🎊🎈🎤🪘🪇🎹🎸🎺🎷🎵🎶
