Central Park, NYC - Russian Saxophonist 11-23-09

Man from Russia in Central Park 11/23/09 playing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" for me, then he went into "We Wish You A Merry Christmas." I cut off the beginning where I'm asking him to play me something since I don't like my voice. He did use to work a "normal" job when he came over from Russia, but he ended up liking this quite fine. Yes, I did leave him a tip, but I didn't have as much as I'd have liked to give him. We talked for some time while I sat in the leaves. Very nice man.

I use to play a Sax...maybe I should try again? It has been a lot of years. I like that song "Somewhere over the Rainbow" I was watchin' Ann play her flute on your other video and remembered My Band Days, (sounds like band aids, lol) then I notice this video on your site...strange hey? Hi. Sure, why not pick up the sax again. Even if you are rusty it still might make you feel good. I have a piano that I can't really play be ause I can't read music and learn by watching others. I still play a few little things because I was so used to the sound of the piano in my homes. (Family members could play.) I took flute in 6th grade, but I fail at instruments especially because Of not practicing. I tried several but never the drums. Thanks for watching this. Glad somebody was interested. This man was very sweet. I wonder how much money he makes in a day. (:
