Welcome back to our second dedicated timelapse. This time, we're showing off the WIP timelapse of my newest central storage in Satisfactory. The Central Storage design, is a circular storage build with items being brought up from below where there is a train network. Items are then run along the smart splitters to the central storage for my character to use for personal items.

Why haven't they implemented the ability to do circular building of objects by now? I hate glitchy building, honestly. I'd also like some foundations to be half and quarter widths - is there any way to do those? I'd LOVE to build things using circle layouts but just don't have the patience. Another thing - i'm in whining mode it seems - is I'd like an option for rails (track laying) which would allow me to specify two things: Type of rail support and the distance between those supports. I find it maddening to have to lay track out floating in the air without any hard locks to straight lines. Argh...

Well, if you use catwalks, you can snap foundations and walls in 1-meter increments. But it has to clip, so im guessing you wouldnt like it much.

That would be insane and i think you should also make a blueprint file for this building for the interactive map from the satisfactory calculator that would be nice too. :)

Trying to rebuild this since I usually end up with something super casual blocky. I'm having issues figuring out what's happening on the sorting floor. Looks like you're sorting for every single item but I can only see 12 conveyors to the top level which would be way too little. Please enlighten me.

nice timelapse brother so did it have a control room to show PPM of all the products in the world and all the master switches are in there i assume for the world and backup Power Charges for a Reboot ?

Internals aren't yet finished (though it's now working) it might show input but that will be all - the rest such as control tower will be at the factories

Some of the music is my own - there's a link in the description and it's free for people to listen to/use if they're a content creator. But I also use epidemic sound as well.

It was across two weeks of streams so took longer than I would like probably 15 hours or so

How do you come with the initial structure for your builds? That's the part I struggle with most and just end up with ugly builds :(

I pretty much wing it, and once I get a general feel for the build I go from there, honestly wasn't too happy with how the outside of this turned out, but I learnt a good few techniques building it. :)

Really great looking but I question the efficiency of having your manufacturing completely separate from the manufacturing - your loading up your rail network unnecessarily.
