Central Trains Bid Their Farewell | Transport Fever 2 | East Yorkshire | Episode 41

Hello and welcome back to Transport Fever 2!
It's time to revisit East Yorkshire today where after our remodelling work around the Hull area, it's time to think about how we're going to keep improving our services. Naturally upgrading our Class 170 DMU trains is a good start... I mean it's been too long hasn't it!
We're still getting stuck however between Broomfleet and Goole. The junction is so busy perhaps we should look at how we're going to reduce the traffic going forward.

That ore train 24:19 doesn’t need to cross onto the lighter coloured tracks. Should just continue down the darker coloured ones. A way point might stop it crossing the lines unnecessarily

A mix of Class 319s and 323s would be useful for a Hull to Goole service.

I think I’d like to see you use the 450s for something. Although another option is having the 185 on this service or perhaps a 222 since you considered using it. Edit: for the York to hull via Broomfleet.

Very good video! I also heard a new and good looking class 185 is in the works too. Also the tpe hitachi could be interesting, although they’ll either be delayed or cancelled 😂.

Have you tried taking out signal on the through lines and leave them in on freight stations then the passenger trains will have priority

For all the freight trains, you could instead of making a million and a half connections for them, make them all go straight to the freight line, not passing onto the passenger rail line, and maybe even use the timetable mod to work them so they depart after or before the passenger services can get to the junctions? (you probs fix this and im just talking while watching) and for the trucks, you might want to set them up so they only load specific things at certain points. I've had it happen where grain would be going all the way to a town instead of the food factory.

If you do use a Hitachi IEP, You should use the GWR livery, as it would make sense for stopping lines, as GWR use IETs on stopper services often irl.

Yeah the GWR IEP stoppers are weird to me. I always saw them as a express train IET (intercity express train)

@@damianc.0.681 Yeah. The only reason IEP stoppers exist for GWR is cuz they rushed to lose the HSTs, and couldnt get replacements for the shorter shuttle HSTs, so are using IEPs. Im glad we still have a couple HSTs though. Its a shame they will be gone by the end of the year.

Well Joe I would put in some steam trains in on Railtours in Yorkshire and for the electrified route to replace the 158s the class 350 seems good or the 323 in Northern livery

Hull-york local via broomfleet gets split to Hull to broomfleet local and york broomfleet local with either 321s 319s or 323s and a new route with the no 1hull-york semi-abstract via broomfleet

LNER don’t have 802’s or 803’s 🤦‍♂️. If your on about hulk trains or something then you might be right as I’m not sure on those. Also nice catch seeing those 91’s. Did you see 91119? Also have you seen the GC Voyager yet 🤢 🤮 that livery on them is disgusting

When are you gonna add a airport their is humberside airport even though that is technically in Lincolnshire but you have Shelby which is tecinnaccly in North Yorkshire so it chould happen maybe with a transport hub with buses trains and maybe even a monorail that connects Shelby and hull ❤
