I'm so glad I wasn't the only who did this growing up😂

WOW!! I didn't know either one of those could do that! Too funny about the drywall hole, literally not just sucking dry paint off a wall but sucking the wall off the house! ahhah
@WJCTechyman13 күн бұрын
Yeah, but a machine that does that doesn't really move the dirt. It's great if it's a home elevator as those pneumatic elevators actually use the same motors as that central vac.
@Termite15912 күн бұрын
@@WJCTechyman OMG wow, you've never used a central vac!! The amount of airflow moved is far greater than just about any portable upright or canister in a home. MD or VacUFlo are the best units if you want high airflow. An Aerus/ Electrolux or Beam with terrible filter designs lose too much airflow.

I remember a friend of mine wanted a 100hz TV because of the 100Hz. I asked him what frequency his current TV used. He read the manual. It was 100Hz, it just didn't say so on the box it came in because nobody cared until one company started advertising with it. Selling is mostly "being creative with the truth" Yes this vacuum can stick itself to a wall, what you don't mention is that any vacuum can lift a car if it can make a good enough seal on a large enough area. This trick means exactly nothing for how good the vacuuming is, but people will be impressed and want to own this super vacuum that is in no way better than the one they already own.

Love this trick! I've also done it with the motor unit of a Cleanfix S10. Most vacuums are capable of this trick given enough surface area.
@WJCTechyman13 күн бұрын
Yeah, but doesn't mean they clean particularly well...unless they are moving a column of water more than ten feet in the air and what vacuum does that? Especially MD and other dry only vacuums. Vacuum peddlers have been using this strategy for decades but Rexair at least recognizes that a vacuum cleaner doesn't produce a vacuum, it actually moves the air. It's a glorified fan or an air pump. I could probably do the same with my 30 year old Beam with its 3 stage 6" tangential bypass motor. I would just have to take the bucket off of the bottom and find a perfectly flat surface to "glue" it to.

Did you ever sell the MD G23 240V Dual Motor Central Vacuum and the MD Silent Master S5 240V Dual Motor Central Vacuum?

that central vac sounds like the misty fragrance vacuum at my local car wash its the same motor

It's a twin motor unit, more a waste of energy and overall money (especially when it comes to replacing the motors) than having two central vacuum units, each installed in each side of the house. Much more efficient dividing the system in two and saves quite a bit of money to boot as the use of twin units halves the hours on each motor instead of putting the same number on two motors that consume at least double the power. It also reduces the complexity of the piping needed for these machines, especially when it comes to those infernal vacuum retractable hose systems. If I was installing a system I would recommend to customers just to use a standard hose as it actually takes less time to set it up and take it down as opposed to pulling hose out of your wall for a minute and a half as well as the convenience of using an actual electric power nozzle. I would say if you really need a retractable hose, invest in a hose reel system. Even then it is much easier to fix than 50 feet of coiling pipe in your attic or basement.

@@YoumuHoover I heard someone say that any vacuum could do Oreck's bowling ball trick, and that's where I got the impression from.

It depends on how powerful it is
@amtrakpepsiproduct16056 ай бұрын
@YoumuHoover I mean, I guess if you have a vacuum with plugged up filters and such, but if you had a good enough seal, you could probably do it with most vacuums. Then again, I've never tested it out myself, as I don't have that bowling ball attachment (though i kind of wish i did), nor a bowling ball to test it out with.

Most can with enough surface area.

Great for that demonstration but incredibly pointless and fails to do with cleaning surfaces. You need to move the air to move the dirt. That's why when you look at a number of excellent "vacuum cleaners" a misnomer of a name, they move large volumes of air with low suction. This includes, but isn't limited to bag houses and wood shop dust collectors, those Kubota Diesel powered leaf collection rigs going around a number of municipalities at the time as I type this (end of October, 2024) and one of the best movers of air in a vacuum cleaner, the Kirby. Lawn mowers also have high airflow but limited suction as well, specifically if you look at bagging mowers from Honda or Walker. Suction is really ever needed if you are running a Truckmount carpet cleaner, like an ArcoWand on steroids powered by a 20-23 hp Honda iGX V-Twin.
