Not the best outcome, but it was super cool to see Simon throw the custom dyed axolotl disc that I did for him on hole 16! Great coverage guys!

Finally get to see some coverage. Had the opportunity to play in this tournament and got in late from driving. First thing I do when I got home is watch some disc golf. First time there and OMG that course was effing gorgeous. The camera does it no justice. In between breaks from the rain there steam coming off of the grass. It's so green and the trees are tall. There's this affect in your vision when playing the wooded holes when it was raining. It just didn't seem natural. Almost like an eclipse. It was awesome. Also, awesome coverage.

Love your coverage, as usual. Given the lovely comments about McIver and your residence in California - I'd love for you to drop by Camp Serene near Noti, Oregon on one of your trips to the PCNW. Got to be the most beautiful course in the US, with lots of technical difficulty.

For those who aren't locals, when this course is in the standard (non beaver state fling) layout, what you see as holes 13 and 14 are actually holes one and two. Think about those as your warm-up to the rest of this amazing course 😂

@kurtheilman38096 жыл бұрын
Watching brad dissect the monster live was one of the highlights of my day. No one really even clapped when he threw that huge anny shot but man that is how you play that hole. It takes a great tee shot followed by 2 very technical throws to get up there and you still probably have to putt. Unless you just mcbeast up and 3 it? Still not sure how that works 🤔

Hole 10-Bradley's closer "by far"?, Hole 11-same average "as hole eleven"...what? Never seen Drew's line attempted? Eagle threw that line just last year... Hole 13-Simon's "perfect line"???...straight through a tree? Hole 14-Bradley's "perfect" shot gave him a circle's edge putt? Hole 15-They spend all this time talking about how amazing Drew's shot was when it was an ok shot that got a great break off a tree. Obviously Drew is an incredible player, but that was not a very good shot. Meanwhile, Simon threw an actual good shot. Hole 16-Simon "not even thinking about a birdie" meanwhile, he tries to make it for birdie... They corrected each other on a handful of different inaccurate comments, but you get my point. Ultimately, not a big deal...just commenting ;D

Drew's putt on hole 13 was too hard. There is a limit on how hard you can smack that center pole and expect a basket to catch it.
@hctibssa90926 жыл бұрын
Javaman92 you’re wrong
@edenharvey94766 жыл бұрын
That spot on the basket is perfect for spit outs. I’m not sure why, but you can barely put any gusto on a putt and the basket just doesn’t catch.
@Beeneyb6 жыл бұрын
And a big issue isn't always speed of putt while it does matter some... It can also be the rotation speed. If it's fast enough to push chains out of the way then hit pole catch even jus a little traction it can throw itself right back out. I have this issue too and it's on KZbin 😂 but I've learned even if I would putt slower in speed I'd kick out almost as much, so I've been learning more of a change up grip so to speak, it doesn't allow me to spin it as tight.

11:08. The target used to be a pole with a strip of carpet on it. Drew would have had it had that been the target. We're seeing that too much lately. It's time to make the tray bigger.

Nitron These baskets are a few years old.
@elijahmdiscgolf6 жыл бұрын
Hate to see it on 13, but tbh drew has that happen cause he putts too hard. If you notice Paul Mcbeth hits chains at the same speed from 20ft as he does from 100ft. Not saying I'm happy he spat out, but when you're inside 30 you shouldn't be putting that hard. He absolutely smoked the basket if you rewatch

"Asian Limo" , really? sounds kinda racist Ian. I Love your camera work and coverage, but I think your commentary is turning a lot of people off. "What up chumps," and "chicks dig the island park jobs" sounds pretty douchey too. My wife had had enough after that comment and left the room. I'm sure I'll catch some heat for this but I really want to see the sport grow, and not just be a SoCAl Bros club.
@timkelly64636 жыл бұрын
I'm struggling to see your point of view. Seem to be reaching for reasons to dislike it. Maybe explain more of how you somehow got offended?
@bewrong236 жыл бұрын
Tim Kelly, did you hear the"Asian limo" comment during the commentary? He called the Camry the Asian limo. The implication being that if you are Asian, you could not afford an actual limousine, but only a Camry. I'm sure Ian didn't mean it in a vicious way, I'm sure he was only trying to be funny, but it was careless and offensive non the less.
@timkelly64636 жыл бұрын
The implication being that its a Toyota sedan. Thats it.
@wademanke21516 жыл бұрын
bewrong23 I think you're reading into his commentary things that aren't there. They gotta keep talking through the coverage, but they may misspeak, or just don't have the most clever things to say all the time. I would just try to not look for a personal attack when it wasn't intended to be.
@MegaFlorest6 жыл бұрын
The Corolla is Toyota's bestselling nameplate. The Camry number 2, and it was introduced as a "higher class" alternative to the smaller and cheaper Corolla. Nothing racist about it if you know the context.
