Elliot, I like your videos a lot. You are a natural as a teacher. And I ought to know, having tought maths for over 30 years. Two things I would like you to consider. 1. If you underline almost everything the underlining loses its function, i.e. drawing attention to the most important things in your lesson. As always, less is more. 2. Why do you not use the one step subgroup test? It saves work. Keep up the good work. You have got a new subscriber. Greetings, Remco.

It seems to me that for all g belonging to the centralizer, we have : ag=ga. If this is true, it allows to prove the existence of inverses in the centralzer. ( manely : g'ag'' = g'ag= g'ga = a ) Also, it would explain why the subgroup deserves its name.
