I broke down and ordered one. I'll be picking it up Thursday. It will make a nice book end to my nickel Inglis P35.

You know there's a notch on the slide that the safety rotates up into for take down. Pull the slide back push the safety up into the notch then push out the slide lock lever. No struggling and wrestling to hold the slide back.

Picked mine up, wow what a pleasant surprise. The only thing I despise about it is that poor excuse for a thumb safety. That's the only real change I'm going to make to this thing.

Will sa35 grips fit this? I want one, but I want wood grips
@GearKnowHow23 күн бұрын
Yep! I slapped some new wood grips on mine from Amazon.

Forget the grips. The Centurian 14 is a piece all its own. The black grips are distinctive and are part of its identity. One of the best buys on a tight fitting quallty pistol.

The Germans had the magazine disconnect disabled. They thought it was a dumb idea.

@@GearKnowHow Weird how the SAS counterterrorism units of four different countries, the SBS, Rhodesians, South Africans, Royal Marines and no conventional mi.itary that issued the P35 didn't remove it because they agreed with the Kitchen Table Gunfighting Experts on how it was a dumb idea! WW2, Korea, Malasian Insurgency, Vietnam, African bush wars against the Cubans,The Troubles in Ireland, Afghanistan and Iraq... and still they didn't realize it was a dumb idea and remove it. Clearly they didn't have enough Kitchen Table Gunfighting Experts in their ranks through all those wars and counter terrorism operations.

The German losers using slave labor dropped it for some reason or other. Less material and time to make them with that slave labor perhaps. The Brits, Canadians, Belgians, Australians, South Africans, etc on the winning side never changed it like the losers did. From WW2 through to Afghanistan and Iraq. Odd how people only remember what the losing side did with that pistol - not what the winners did.

There are two different ways to fire the GP35 without a magazine seated. Should figure that out before doing a review. There's also a take down notch in the slide for field stripping which would make your life easier than the way you demonstrated. Might want to ask any soldier who was issued the weapon how to do all of that. Think of it as homework for civilian owners.
