Back in the day i started my path of world of tanks with this line. Cromwell was incredible. Comet was pure pain due to the continious tier 8 games with is3 everywhere. Then i got to centurion and i realised that the alpha is poor the armor was non existing. Swaped to e5 line. The bigest problem with centurion is how big it is. There is no hiding its hull.

That map feature in index is amazing idea, that is better than any map guides. I'd never even thought about such idea, but being able to look at replay with specific tank on specific map, to see which positions are playable is just awesome. I mean I'll probably won't use it much since Im lazy, don't play as much and kinda know the positions (from daily dose...xD), but for anyone who struggles this is great, thank you Skill for what you do for us

Honestly the index is rly great. It's funny that a CC made such a good resource when WG doesn't even give a fk about helping players learn how to play. All they do is release sh*t like how to aim or how to use camo and they get so many things wrong.

I always thought the turret armor and shell penetration on this tank were pretty good. It's unfortunate that the hull is so big, weak, and clumsy and of course the alpha hasn't kept up with the times.

First of all, as someone who plays (almost) exclusively British tanks, I'm sorry for being such a burden for everyone lol😋. People don't seem to understand how hard it is when you're almost always two tiers down (effectively 3 in a British tank) and have next to zero pen and really, REALLY bad RNG (even with the new Vickers 3 MBT I've found). It's nice to see that even someone as good as Skill had these issues while playing the Cent I. Doing 1k dmg in that tank is actually good lol. Anything higher is a (rare) wet dream. I've always maintained that the lower tier tanks in any given game should get favourable RNG, so that they can at least contribute more by hitting the very few weak spots of the enemy tanks. It always makes me laugh looking at how many shots I fired during a game to how many shots actually hit or penned.

Strangely, Centurion 1 was my best performing tank (63%), back in the day. With current meta, that is just a dream these days.

Back in the day I played this, I remember one... How do I call it... Exploit for slightly faster aiming. Aim at the enemy you want to hit and then engage auto-aim. It will start to aim faster and then, after second or two, disengage it. Wonder if it still works...

Sounds more like a lag issue. When you are lagging autoaim becomes your best friend., you turn over the aiming to the server and server knows where you are supposed to be pointing.

Just finished grinding this kaku. Quite slow, low alpha as you mentioned, totally no armor on platform and often ammorack while getting hit up front. Even the dpm isnt the greatest. Only thing you have is little armor on the turret and not the worst viewrange.

Stock-Grind on T9-Centurion is pain in the A*s, you have to farm more than 100k XP with that useless 230 Alpha-Gun. One of the few Tanks i skipped the Module-Grind after 10 oder 15 Games played...

There's nothing wrong with this tank. I wish if only the other vehicles in T8 (including premiums) would be as balanced as this vehicle. The problems comes from the other end of the tank assortment. The powercreep end. We put the cart before the horse fellas!

I enjoy the premium version of it but with so many autoladers and mediums with either better DPM and higher alpha the tank feels underarmed. Platform is fine for me with the strong turret, mobility, gun and viewrange are ok but the DPM is holding this vehicle back

In reality it was one of the best tanks of its time, but I think it has been nobbled by WoT. It was still performing well in the 6 day war against its Eastern block opponents. It is disappointing that WoT has become unrealistic in this way for many tanks.

20 Pdr is the gun I hate with passion in this game. I have used the gun in Heavy, Medium, and TD lines... None of them are enjoyable experience, and the one in Centurion is possibly the most painful one.

Centurion is very underated tank but with the broken OP premium tanks you hardly ever see them at tier 8 I even had a match at tier 8 is flooded with tier 8 premiums and non existence tech tree tanks Are tech tree tanks irrelevant ? Do we have to play tier 8s tech tree tanks so we get clapped by BZ-176, Bourrasque, Skorpion G etc ....

Thats my average WOT experience. Teams of turds that just rush out to die. The Centurion I was a long time ago for me and I enjoyed it to an extent. Back then the turret was usefull and you could play ridge lines. Today not so much.

I dont know why, I recently decided to go up through this tech tree... pushed very quickly through the lower tiers and blueprints led the way. And i am stuck in the T8 since i am free to play both free xp and Credits are low and i cant get out of this shithole... it is very fun getting penned in the turret by shitburn (HESH), but it was even more fun when a deathstar penned me with simple HE frontaly in the turret... overall it is trash. accuracy sucks, reload too for the alpha damage. it cannot trade with any tank and it also cannt work hull down with tanks over T7... when i put the same gun on tortoise it so much more fun and accurate. it doesnt get a turret, but you get armor and extreme dpm (reload around 3 seconds if i remember well) and you get called cheater for holding at least two tanks perma-tracked infront of you. (it only struggles in penetration). But this makes the comparison of the problems of the tank

My opinion is that this tank is aweful. Low alpha, low penetration, low dpm, average speed. Powercreep has made t8 a nightmare for techtree tanks. The worst aspect by far is the poor camo. Big, fat skip for me.

I always cringe when Skill makes a move hoping he'll get support fire from teammates on his targets. Never once seen it work out for the poor guy. Never lucky.

Centurion I used to be the best tier 8 medium. In the meantime, it has fallen far behind the latest generation of new and shiny tanks chucked by WG into the game, but the worst nerf it got was the maps themselves. WG maps are 100% corridors and the meta imposed by WG is shoot and scoot micromanagement. You can't go hull down any longer if you want to be relevant to the battle at large and Centurion I doesn't have the alpha, accuracy, stabilization, armor, mobility or stealth to work on the shit maps WG barfs into the game these days. You're right about Centurion 7/1, it has the alpha. And it has excellent gun accuracy, penetration, sufficient armor and sufficient mobility. WG should buff the gun handling, DPM and alpha of the Centurion I if they want to keep it above water, maybe give it the Centurion 5/1 hull armor. Until then, it's just a bad medium.

This is why I don't play tanks you can't carry in anymore (low dpm, low alpha, no armour, slow) it's much more enjoyable when you stop trying and don't care like 99% of the players. Stop trying to help people, stop pushing to advantageous positions, stop trying to make plays because the 5 teammates camping behind you won't have a clue what you're trying to do. Sit back and watch the world burn around you and farm that damage.
