So unlucky to have those stomach issues Rob. Kudos for grinding it out back from the turn around point. 50 miles is still a super run. Rest, reset and go again! 😎🤘

Cheers Ben, very annoying as I don't normally struggle with GI issues, so a new one on me.

How on earth do you guard against these things? I’m yet to work out a successful nutrition strategy for longer ultras

HI Conrad, It can be tricky. I do not normally struggle so it goes to show that the slightest mistake can ruin your day. All trial and error. Thanks for watching. 👍

What was your electrolyte plan? If you were relying on aid station Tailwind, you may not have been getting enough electrolyes. Once your electrolyte balance tips over the edge, your gut won't be able to absorb water which it will just swill about in your belly, making you very nauseous. Might be worth experimenting with electrolyte intake?

@@nigelb1851 It was the same as normal. I always carry my own electrolyte tablets and Tailwind sachets, I think the aid station stuff is always too watery. It was a bizarre situation, never had a problem before. New challenge to resolve.
