First sang this in high school choir. It was a seminal experience as so many of yours was. Sang it again recently in a community chorale and it still feels like sacred ground. Just now, I couldn't get through this very capable performance without crying. Well done, TAMU!

I sang this in jr high girls chorus in the late 60s. I remember our teacher/director vividly. I’ve always remembered her. Her husband was in Vietnam. My heart ached for her. I recall she went to meet him in Hawaii for Biv wack for 2 weeks. She was so happy and so relieved. I’ve always wondered what happened to them. The magic of music! I remember how the voices of our girls chorus were of one voice

I was looking for another song with these words but found this one. We sang this in the fifth grade at the middle school. Memory unlocked wow. That is so special to recall. And I was amazed because it was beautiful. And I sang well.

Beautifully sung! Many years ago, way back in the 60's, my high school class had to memorize this song and then each one of had to recite it in front of the class. It has always remained one of my favorites from Robert Frost.

I clearly remember singing this at the Maine independant school's Festival back in 1969 ? I still to this day (June 2014) feel the same potent and clear message that has helped me throughout my life. Allen Lacombe St Palais FRANCE

my chior is singning this song in our spring concert this year and we worked really hard on this piece... i have to say, my chior teacher Mrs. Matson can be right about making a piece sound perfect verses just singing the piece... your the best Mrs. Matson!!!!!!

I love this piece, music or no...I have been playing home-made versions on piano, and singing too since '77. I play it at peoples homes,and as "filler" in solo gigs. I first sang this at Eastern U.S. music camp @ Bard college, choir, Joyce Irwin conducting.

Soprano 1! What part were you? This song helped me earn extra credit points in freshman year of college in 2000-2001 (yes, I'm struggling with the fact that I am old so hush) I earned extra credit because I could recite these words by heart, thanks entirely to my wonderful high school concert choir ❤️

I don't recall if Frost ever said, but the poem doesn't really say whether that "made all the difference" was a good difference or a bad one.
