@woxenrud IIRC yes they do. Korea plays on +1 typically in arcades and if it's the same on Tekken Crash, yeah. A couple of guys talked about it like Rip when they visited Korea and how it would throw them off near the end of a round.

@kevinhain in tekken when you're knocked down you're severely limited to what options you have defensively and offensively generally close to 4 or 5 options maybe. the guy standing is rewarded with the entirety of offensive and defensive options available in the game. oki is the standing guy using that huge advantage over the downed guy "kicking a guy while he's down" ^_^

If you want to dominate in Tekken 6, you need to master the low parry. After that, you can just combo off the the bound like crazy.

I disagree with you on that. Paul might look like he's overpowered, but he's really not. Like what jizzhunt is saying, Paul is a mid-tier character, and some of his attacks are very unsafe. Obviously, you're only looking at that one attack of Paul. If you're a Tekken veteran, you obviously have to know that you can't spam the same attacks all the time. Predictability is considered a death warrant in Tekken.

d/b+2 spamming with Steve is suicide. That move is launch punishable and can be seen by good players. Nin never spams the hell out of that move the way Kor whores Bob's d+1. Bob's d+1 is actually +1 on block which gives him options afterwards. Bryan might be simple on paper, but when it comes to winning in a high level environment, he is far from being simple. I used to be a Bryan player and I can say that he is not an easy character to use. His taunt maybe godly, but it is hard to use as well.

With the exception of Lars, the other 3 are much more difficult to use compared to Bob. Look at what Kor did here as he spammed d+1 all day long. Bryan and Steve require a lot of skill to use despite being top tier characters, and Bryan's taunt(as deadly as it is) is not that easy to connect especially against a good player. Bob has an easier time winning matches compared to Bruce, Bryan, and Steve because of his damage output and his safeness.

Ehh, spamming db2 with Steve is not exactly complicated either, it is a fast knockdown low that is almost safe. Bryan is a very simple character with only the taunt being tough due to execution, yet it is godlike vs anyone. Bruce is not exactly complicated to use. There is nothing so special about Bob, it's just a US thing, in Korea he does not get much play. d1 is a solid move, for a reason, he needs it.

If you're referring to his launcher (Thruster), that thing is not as good as it seems and judging from the way you replied at my comment I can honestly say that you know nothing about the technical aspects of Tekken such as frame advantages, backdash cancelling, fuzzy blocking, sidewalk, sidestep, whiff punishing, etc...Overpowered my ass! You just don't know how to play against him, and as a matter of fact, Paul is considered a pure mid-tier character at best unlike Lars and Bob who are top.

db2 is -15 on block, many characters cannot launch punish that. It's very fast for its properties. Steve is a better character than Bob anyway. The people who bitch about Bob are those who never used him to understand his shortcomings and the only reason he is top tier, which is high crush NOT his d1. The rest of top tier cast are actually bad matchups for him. I've used Bryan since T3, he has always been an all around solid character that is simply in design. Lets be real.

Umm, I know your comment is about 3 months old, but I have to say that some of the things that you're saying is complete BS. I will, however, agree with you on Bob being overpowered in this game. But Paul is far from being overpowered. It takes a ton of skill to be good with Paul and using him in high level play is not as easy as you'd think. Try using "overpowered" Paul against good players and you'll see what I mean.

It's amazing the hate that Bob gets when Lars, Steve and Bryan with accurate taunts are clearly better than him. I would even put Bruce as a superior character. Regardless, these are all top tier characters and the reality is that Tekken 6 is a very well balanced game.
