AO has lost several grand finals this way, being in winners and getting reset, and then ultimately losing. He seems to take it harder each time. If you saw EVO 2015, same thing happened against Nobi. It happened one other time too, but don't recall it at the moment. I hope he wins a major someday though, just to encourage him.

It's a different type of game. It's definitely not as flashy as other games (no projectiles and no meter/ultra etc.) But I wouldn't say it isn't deep. It's got a fantasticly detailed combo system (hundreds for each char') and because of the juggle opportunities, you need to be careful as fuck in order to not be caught by a badass punish. Can't all the different fighting game fans get along. I'm a SF, Tekken and MK player. They are all fantastic games.

It's better than anything any other fighter has, each character has his own contained story, and his own reasons to join the King of The Iron Fist Tournament. And then there's the Mishima storyline, which keeps evolving with every installment. From Tekken 5's Devil Within, and even Tekken 6's campaign, Tekken has taken a serious approach to it's story, And you can feel it. Sure, it's no Metal Gear Solid, but like I said, compared to other fighters, it blows them out of the water.

Tekken does cater to newbs with the extra damage for people whose health bar is almost depleted, but it also caters to long time fans providing juggles. Essentially Namco is saying if you aren't afraid of a newb you wont let them hit the ground if you're good.

whatever works for you. if you're used to playing games on a pad, use it. dpad does hurt your thumbs though after a while. I personally find it easier to do some moves on pad, although moves like djin's 2+3 are def more oriented for a stick unless you use some custom configuration where one of those/both are on a shoulder button.

Look guys when you are playing in a tourney or online, story is the last think you think of. Its the michanics and gameplay that matters most in a fighting game worthy of evo.

It's called a Low Parry, you need incredibly good timing to use it. When your opponent is trying to give you a low attack no matter if it's a kick or punch, you have to use d/f right when the attack is about to hit, when you are succesfull, you get a free bound so that you can juggle your opponent right after. Try it in in practise mode, you will learn it soon.

Tekken has always had depth and is respected worldwide. The only fighter that probably has more depth is virtua fighter. KOF and Blaz are hard to play as well but not Street Fighter 4. Capcom even said they made the game easier for casual players. Tekken will never dumb down the mechanics. Professional critics and pro players have said that the game is very skilled and their opinion is much more credible than yours.
