Let me get this straight: he manhandles her, forces himself on her, holds her head down when they have sex, strikes her across the face, insults and blames her for the hotel setup, but realizes he loves her after she tells him her feelings for him no longer exist. WTF?!?!?!?! He shifts blame to everyone, but himself for her divorcing and leaving him. Then he blackmails and threatens her and others for her to return to him because she belongs to him. There is nothing likable about him. He is gross, horrid, and absolutely irredeemable.

YES!! Exactly this! NOTHING he does is about what SHE wants. NOTHING! 1:12:25 this whole scene, where she remembers him raping her, should have been the part where she leaves him for good! How she can go back to him after that disgusting memory (for which he never apologized) is not believable in the slightest. Him saying he was wrong in the past is not an apology nor really an acknowledgement that he knows exactly how wrong he was. He doesn’t atone, he doesn’t repent, he doesn’t ask forgiveness. He just manipulates her and pursues her, and sexually stalks her. He never once asks what she wants or needs! And he has the pure audacity to claim that he got revenge on “all the people who hurt her” but conveniently leaves himself out of this!

That ML was such a creep...I am disgusted that she went back to him in the end....he mistreated her so badly...when he finds out he was tricked by her evil step sister, and her evil stepmother and father, and that it was his wife that saved his life, he punishes them then has the audacity to say to her memorial (because she faked her death so that he would leave her alone) that he took revenge against the people that hurt her, but he conveniently forgets that he was the worst one that mistreated her...then to top it off when he finds her again he threatens to hurt the guy that helped her if she didn't go back to him...he is just scum...he didn't deserve her forgiveness...the ending was a joke...

To say somebody doesn't deserve forgiveness implies they are beyond redemption, which I firmly believe isn't true for anybody. I understand all art forms are open to interpretation, so it makes sense why we would both watch the same thing and come away with two totally different views. I saw a man who mistreated his wife because he wasn't in love with her (or didn't think he was) and only realized her worth when his house and life suddenly felt empty without her in it. He thought her sister had saved his life, and thus felt obligated to be with her, however, because they were caught in bed together, he was forced to marry her, instead. This caused a lot of resentment in him which is never how you build a happy, healthy relationship of any kind. Once everything was out in the open, he realized his mistakes and learned from them. I think the ending was well-deserved.

The irony is that her savior was not a savior but selfish - he leaked her pregnancy to her enemy, thus the miscarriage. Then told the ML grandpa that she was unable to get children after miscarriage knowing very well that this was a lie and would put the husband in pressure - he loved her selfishly, wanted her to herself whatever the cost. No difference between him and the scheming girl. The male lead could have told this to the girl but decided to spare her the truth of knowing her friend was also part of her suffering.
