@@mooflechuck2127 by making the works rewarded for these hard times other laid off workers went to his company to get a job, of course between their free honey and overall care for the workers. Overall Pooh is remembered as one of the greatest businessmen of all time due to his company strong morality values. By the time pooh died in 2100 his son followed in his foot steps and created a corporate influence across the world, while still holding their moral compass in tact. Pooh actually shows some really interesting economical concept. In a time of crisis, instead of hiring freezes and mass lay-offs to show a good face to the investors, the idea of keeping hold of a loyal and competent staff while giving it honey (raises), is, in short-term, very costly, BUT, at long-term, will make your company way more competitive than your competitors who are basically a shadow of their pre-crisis selves, with less motivated, competent staff that's in smaller numbers. Therefore, you will go out of the crisis as a winner. Now, the only problem is to "survive" the economical depression, but Pooh has no problem with that because he's very convincing to his colleagues, advisors (as shown above), and therefore, will have no problem convincing his shareholders and investors to trust him. Good job, Pooh. What a smart and empathic CEO.

Nah what you do is you find parents of down syndrome people who are simply just worn out by it to let you hire the poor cute sob. You get a dozen or so, and you send them into old gold mines for hours and hours a month. You 'pay' them which goes to the parents who lie saying it's a real good wage and is going for a bomb bedroom setup someday. They will with a not well known gods gift to all down syndrome at birth - find your gold by having waking dreams, wherein the gold sends mind movies that appear as little lights behind the rocks. Once the gold is collected you can melt it into coins or bars and buy stuff.

4-day workweeks also feel better because you avoid the commute for one day. That may seem like a non-issue for people who work from home, but there are hundreds of thousands of people who spend over 1 hour going from their house to their office, and another hour to return at the end of the day. That's 2 hours lost that could've been used better doing _literally_ anything else.

For manual labor jobs, it actually increases the amount of work done by a few hours, as opposed to dedicating that time to a fifth day of set up, lunch, the two fifteens and clean-up. @@madnightguard6296 industrial capitalism is the monetization and ruthless optimization of everything throwing human value to the wayside without pity in the name of progress And no I am not a socialist thats just as bad

@@lordperson5762 as a staunch follower of Free market capitalism, I can agree that capitalism should not step on morality/humanity and can better achieve this through the limitation of government interference and eliminating protectionist laws to create healthy competition to expand job growth and low prices
@lordperson57622 жыл бұрын
@@Sumschmuck limiting government interference makes the corporation the government they'd just control who controls what mass industrialisation is the issue it always ends up with the government and industry melding as one to own the people regardless of system or ideal the power is too tempting for many and its inevitable that an ideal of total liberty falls flat as man is quickly to become subject to ownership beneath the corporations rather then his individual labour apon his own land deciding his success but rather the benevolence of the government or corporation as humans are less and less valuable due to technological progress

The reason the honey worked: Honey can help boost immune system and is generally a pretty nutritious food and boost motivation of people Most of the employees in the business fears covid or maybe lack a proper diet due to lack of money or just generally have low motivation because of the previous boss The honey solves all 3, making the workers happy and boosting their performance, causing the business to become profitable due to better output such as product or services All because the ceo want their worker yo be happy, good lad

I came into this all ready to comment "oh bother" but then ... this reminds me of the corporate CEO of a chain of Restaurants in California who was very Cristian (but as written in the Bible, not the cult of personality that has grown up around Jesus), and despite the derision of his father and the rest of the business community offered FREE meals to the pore and "pay what you can" meals to everyone else with the philosophy of turn no one away hungry. To everyone's surprise his restaurants were a HUGE success and he made a gigantic profit and became the biggest chain in the area with the happiest (highest paid) workers. It turns out respect and kindness were the secret to success.

I assume that while everyone higher up got so sad for Winnie that they gave up their positions, Winnie didn't want to leave the first employee that tried to help him behind, so Winnie decided to promote him as well. Classic Pooh.

(EDIT) Welp, I thought the Bed Bath & Beyond CFO committed suicide because of the layoffs that had happened, but it turns out he did so during the time they announced the layoffs *_and closures._* (So it *could* be because of 32,000 people being layed off, or it *could* be that out of 700 stores- 150 of them were being shut down. Or a third related item I know nothing of.)
