Turned out sweet! The Scotch Brite pads flying off was funny.

Yeah I have an 02 Taco (original owner) and thought about selling it but not after I saw what they are fetching. I figure in 5-10 years I’ll be able to get more than what I bought it for. I need to do the valve cover gaskets soon. After that thought about color matching my chrome plated grille and bumpers after watching your videos on the 4Runner. Might go crazy and do the fender flares after that.

Never painted my valve covers but i have hydro dipped them and cleared over em with a 2k out a can. Stayed pretty up until i sold it.. hydrodipping is pretty simple but easy to screw up.. just need the hydrodip sheet and a can of activator.. and a toat deep enough to submerge the cover..

Leaving the valve covers soaked in water with simple green for 24 hours would of save you all the dirty work

Good for reference. Although prepping for primer paint work might not be the best

I’ve got a 2002 Tacoma with 300k miles and I paid 7k for it two years ago and with the work I’ve done to it my I don’t want to sell it price is 10k.

A lot of them-rust free- have went for more than 10k Only drawback is some ppl get shy at or over 200k even though they can go way more if maintained

That ought to kill the lawn nicely! Too bad it wasn't artificial turf.
