Hey cephalopocalypse, thanks for all the brotato content! After your GMO achievement playthrough, here are some meme challenge ideas: -- cure the Sick with the Doctor: reach +5 regeneration. If you haven't purchased one, a Fairy will show up on shop 20, but she will charge 1000 for her services (this removes the major RNG part). (Alternatively you could mod the game so you start with a Fairy or play in endless mode until you reach +5 regeneration) - Human: only use as many weapons and items as a human could. E.g. 2 knives but only 1 shotgun. Items similarly, thus 1 armor, 1 helmet/hat, etc. This challenge also allows your favourite thing: baiting comments about your dubious decisions :D -- Statue: reach -100% speed

21:27 Not dropping a material is part of the base game, unless I'm misunderstanding something. There is a Brotato wiki that states "The base chance for enemies to drop materials is 100%. Starting at Wave 5, the chance is decreased by 1.5% times the wave number" (not taking into account character specific changes to materials drops). So since you were at wave 7 the drop chance was 89.5%, it's not that uncommon for enemies to not drop materials, I guess you just didn't notice it before. Or maybe the materials drop rate was introduced at a point in the game development that happened to coincide with your installation of the GMO mod? I'm fairly new to the game, I don't know how it used to be.

I never realized ricochet would have an adverse effect on flamethrowers, amazing that you are still teaching me new things about this game after all this time! Strange to see you fail that first run(it’s been a while), I’m kinda glad you died a little early so there was a retry to witness. Don’t want the video to be like an hour long I get it 😉

With so much percentage damage and attack speed, the flamethrower was actually doing a pretty significant damage from the actual initial hit, even before the fire ticks With the fedora, I wonder if boosting the enemy speed might actually have helped by having the enemies get closer before dying

I was going to say the same--Alien baby seemed like a smart choice here because the lich passive scales off of max HP, too, so it seemed like a win win with dusty fedora

I've been really looking forward to see you try this one. I went ghost axe and transitioned into polterlimb around wave 7 or 8, which was super smooth. Polterlimb damage was great, then you just start piling in the life steal which kicks off the lich passive. EDIT: I think this is the easy and obvious combo :)

Great run! Shame about the Dusty Fedora. It mostly just hurt your economy, since the Lich passive caused the edges of the map to be littered with double-value materials that were hard to pick up. It generally seems like a good pick but really worked against you this time.

Had a great time playing this with the ghost axe all the way through. Built a lot of armor and regeneration, and the free stats from the axe ended up massive. Entering the late game the lich passive was clearing a lot, while the axe was still earning stats from enemies that got close. Eventually found a minigun, which closed out the last two levels easily. Play style was like an aggressive one armed. You get in close like a lich to take hits, and that kept the melee weapon busy

Just done my first run against this and got Nuke Launcher wave 10 and had a level 4 by wave 12. Made it VERY easy 😄

My run went a little different. At turn 7 I came across a thunder sword. Combining the sword with two vigilante rings I started hitting about 1500 dmg by wave 20. I was a really fun run!

Crypid+Explorer is fun - trees galore but 0% material drops. Artificer with Screwdriver is impossible and I bet 40 bucks not even Ceph can win that.

i did it with hatchet, but i basically just played it as Worse One Armed rather than doing Lich stuff.

I've noticed enemies not dropping materials on both my PC modded copy and my copy on the Switch. Sometimes it's even the first enemy of the wave! It's such a bad bug, and I wish I understood what causes it.

Problem with life steal is the 10 per second cap cuz with flamethrower and that attack speed ud life steal way more than that

Think you were mistaken about damage modification. It ends up you're getting +50% modifications. Your first modification was +1. Which is 1.5. Your next was plus 7 with plus 50% is 3.5. 1.5 + 10.5 = 12. Disclaimer I'm commenting this at beggining of video and haven't seen if you noticed or corrected yourself so apologies if you actually caught that.
