When raku fired things got a coat of grime on them what you can simply wipe off with a wet sponge. It is not polishing just cleaning the surface.

@@Magyar_David yes but you really need to seal the finished piece to avoid any surface oxidation over time. Wax or something.

Raku is a japanese technique. You can find a lot about it online. Building a raku kiln is quite easy and costs less than a regular kiln. The rakuing process usually needs 3-4 people to work together. It is really dangerous because you hold a glowing red pot on about 1000°C and there are that smoke coming out from the kiln and the bins too which is harmful enough. Learn more about rakuing online find a place with people practicing it and do it. :) I am sure there are possibilities in Bangladesh too.
