Beautiful colour combination. Please try again and show the next time as well. Would love to see several pieces made this way with these colours 😃

Ah this so mesmerizing. So sorry it exploded. I saw a video about debunking pottery myths the other day and he was talking about really slowly turning up the heat in the kiln to prevent objects to explode or crack because of trapped air or moisture. It worked for him. Maybe it can help? Thank you for sharing your hits and misses. Love your dreamlike creations.

It still looks like something I would hang on a wall. Art has its own way of manifesting sometimes.

Each layer needs to be glued with clay mud. No worries, next time! Fantastic work!!!!

Thanks for showing us the fails as well as the successes. How were the layers attached to each other? I did not see the use of slip or anything else to attach one layer to the other.

I was wondering too! Now i guess it is part of the problem leading to the explosion... Would it make sense?

The very wet clay is all the same moistness, and he compresses the clay. Nothing else is really needed. Clay wants to stick together.

Lol i didn't. but i pressed it really hard to ensure there is no gap and air in the joint. it did't crack when it dried so it was okay
