In today’s video, we’ll explore the Schist Village of Cerdeira in Central Portugal. It's a series of villages in this region and people are getting together and refurbishing them. Although these villages are well over 400 years old, this particular cooperative has been working on this project for more than 30 years. Cerdaida was a village of schist houses at risk of disappearing in Central Portugal. It’s one of the best places to visit in Portugal. Don’t miss the beautiful old-growth trees, plants and flowers.

You absolutely should explore it more, it's a wonderful place. Also see Nazare, Obidos and more of the Silver Coast.

@@ContinentalDrifter I have been to Obidos and Nazare. But the area more towards Spain i'm missing so far. Also everything north of Porto (which is itself one of the most beautiful cities I know).
