Another option for a cardstock topper is to simply IRON the cardstock to the cereal bag, and then glue the areas where the cardstock layers over cardstock.

Use double sided sticky sewing adhesive tape ! Or use stem-a seam, or fuse-n-web sewing adhesive. You can buy it in strip/roll form or in yardage. You can sew through it and not worry about a sticky needle. However, rubbing alcohol cleans a needle very well.

Lolly, These are so cute! 🎉 I’ve saved some liner bags after watching your last video, but I haven’t tried using them yet! I love the “crinkability” too! I’ve found the bags of Cheez-Its are the clearest. Much clearer than most cereal bags, if that’s important to anyone. I was planing to use them to make shakers for adding in journal pockets. Hey, would a fuse tool work to seal these? I don’t have a sewing machine.

You can laminate the cellophane bag (see this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYHPpaqrYpmMjsk ), and I suppose you can laminate a cereal bag, but the inside of the cereal bag would seal shut unless you also put a cellophane bag inside the cereal bag, so why bother?

I don't understand WHY you left the little clear bag inside, or even used it at all. I do like the project and reusing the cereal bag. No sense wasting what you can reuse in a classy way.

The clear plastic bag doesn't fuse so that you can fill it with the shaker items. As usual, Lolly has thought through the process thoroughly utilizing what we normally throw in the trash to make something beautiful.

yes, as @gardengate1339 stated. If I iron the cereal bag alone, it all fuses shut and becomes a solid piece of plastic. The cellophane bag does not fuse together, so it creates a pocket inside the cereal bag.
