"Sir Neville the Nasty" (in the second "Cheerios Kid" spot) looks a lot like "Black Bark" from "Tooter and Mr. Wizard", on 'KING LEONARDO AND HIS SHORT SUBJECTS" [which was also sponsored by General Mills].

That first Country Corn Flakes was lame, but the other one that came later was a classic! The villain on the Cheerios ads looked like Dishonest John from Beeny and Cecil.

The first Cheerios Kid spot features his new girlfriend Sue, who was seen, yet she did not have a speaking part. Interestingly, there was an earlier spot where the Cheerios Kid saved a maiden, and just she was about to kiss him, his horse pushes the girl away. This may have led to The Cheerios Kid actually having a female companion. Also, the Trix spot is v/o'ed by Leon Janney.
