Those Umbrella sets are great. I got in The Chaser box set and had gotten the Red Rock West box set. The Chaser is an excellent film. Many great Korean films out there for people to discover.

They are doing some great work with Umbrella lately. Mario Bros and Dead-End Drive In both on 4k. I wish the box sets were a little cheaper, but it's great to see the love put into titles like these. Can only imagine what they have for us going forward...Thanks, Heath!

They're repressing the Mario box set in a non-limited edition so that more people can have it without paying those ridiculous eBay prices. @@CerealAtMidnight yes I preordered it but it isn't exactly the same the outer box is blue with different art work instead of Purple the big book is softcover instead of hard back like the first release it is missing the film cell and sticker sheet as well which sucks when Umbrella are charging the same price as before for less of thd content

Right, they've made a few changes so as not to burn the people who supported the first release, but it's still nearly identical in terms of features and presentation--a few changes aside. I think it's great and I'd love to see more distributors doing the exact same thing. Nobody should be getting rich selling out of print releases on the internet. The more companies can do to cut that off, the better.

Looking forward to picking up The Chaser soon. I love Korean cinema. I hope Umbrella expands their korean library by adding more that's stuck on DVD, such as, Save the Green Planet!, Crying Fist, Nowhere to Hide, The Quiet Family, etc.

I'm afraid they'll stop because The Host 4K is probably the last big title they could do, but there's still more they can release!

My "Karboy" set is currently making it's way across the US Midwest to me on the East Coast. It's taking it's time but travel times from Australia seem to have been generally shortened the past few years so I can't complain. This set looks better than I anticipated. I've loved this movie since I first watched it on video in my teens so I will grab every edition that ever comes out, although it looks like this set will never be topped. I got my pre-order of Dead End Drive-In last week. I own the Arrow Blu-ray but I couldn't pass up on this limited 4K. It's such a fun film. There's also good trailer reels on here. One of which is all of Brian Trenchard-Smith's films, and a bunch of apocalyptic B-movies, cool stuff. It also includes a commentary track and multiple interviews from Brian. A brilliant release.

An interview with Brian Trenchard-Smith would be so cool; besides his movie work, I love his work on Trailers From Hell. I wasn't aware, until now, that THEM was a home invasion movie; I thought it was the movie about the giant ants. Which makes me think that there should be a THEM II, about a home invasion by super-intelligent ants. (Think THE STRANGERS meets PHASE IV.) This would not be science fiction; our kitchen experiences this every Spring, especially after the first rains. The Criterion release of THE MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH included the book. I have the DVD set; it pains me to not have the Blu-ray but it went out of print before I could get it, and the eBay prices are out of the question. (I could say the same about SALO, but I am not going out of my way to pick up SALO.)

I have been inside a Bull Moose retail store for the first time yesterday. I have died and gone to heaven. A video shop the size of a football field with a huge horror movie section. My friend and I were in there for a good two hours. I found some truly strange and unknown movies; Dead Man Walking (2005, The Asylum); Bloodsuckers from Outer Space (2008, Shriek Show DVD); Wes Craven Presents Don't Look Down (1998, Artisan DVD); Wolfhound (2002, New Concorde DVD); House of Horrors The Gates of Hell (2015, Brain Damage Films DVD), Cannibal Hunter (2012, Screen Media Darkside DVD), Rachel's Attic (2005, The Asylum DVD); Madness (2009, Well Go USA DVD); and Hideki: Evil Dead Trap 2 (1991 Japan Home Video, 2022 Unearthed Films blu-ray.)

Hi Heath. Dude, let me just say that I thought Them was an excellent film. Somewhat reminiscent of Eden Lake and Funny Games. But a movie that is all its own. The very last shot of the film will leave you chilled to the bone. Enjoy

Them or Ils is based on a true story, good film with an easily digestible run time of less than 80 minutes. Great haul there matey 😊

It appears the discount code doesn't always work. I tried it the other day but didn't finalize the order and it took off the 15 percent. But when I went back a couple days later to finish the order, it says "Enter a vaid code"

Them is a great movie that absolutely needed to have more work done to it before being released by anyone. Love the box, the book, the cards and all that but the idea of anyone laying $55 plus shipping to put that disc in and have the movie look like that…It’s kinda a slap in the face. I get that the film might not ever look that great even with a restoration but when the text on your title cards have visible pixels like it’s a 360p KZbin video…It’s pretty hard to feel like the release on disc was even justified. Btw the Cereal15 code definitely works, I use it everytime.

Financially, I think I’ll have to stick with my Arrow BD, but echo your love of “Dead End Drive-In.” Even the description of movie (which was enough to grab me the 1st time) doesn’t do it justice because it’s a very thoughtful social commentary and microcosm-type story.

It's a movie that has aged almost into a documentary. But then again, it's also great fun.
