@@CerealTimeTV Started gaming with my Atari 2600 and Sesame Street games when I was a kiddo..leveled up to games for my Tandy Ega...Games like Heros Quest...Space Quest...Kings Quest...Police Quest...Conquest of Camelot...The Colonel's Bequest. I loved em but the graphics started getting better and better and eventually were too much for my Tandy and my Dad wouldnt upgrade. So I had to seek high adventure on my Sega Genesis and wasnt disappointed with games like Phantasy Star 2 and 3...Sword of Vermillion...Landstalker. Sierra is a HUGE part of why I love video games the way I do nowadays.

When I make Rice Krispies Treats, I add marbits in the mix and top with them. Big Lots sometimes sells small bags of marbits, and that what inspired me to make the treats. Sometimes I use fruit flavored marshmallows and Fruity Pebbles.

As for the krispy treats ... My favorite way to make them is add a bit more butter than called for, a bit more marshmallow and fewer rice krispies than recipe calls for .. and a splash of pure vanilla extract. This makes a very soft .. gooey treat and tastes amazing ! I don't really " jazz them up" I love the original so much I don't usually want anything to interfere... that said.. adding peanut butter is quite delicious .. with a very thin layer of milk chocolate on top .. but that is quite pedestrian and I think a lot of people have tried it that way. But I think I really LOVE your mix of the three types of krispies ... now that looks amazingly delicious !!!

Yeah, the 83 version was obviously discontinued early. It might've originally had the same temporarily recalled fate of Franken Berry, after he was introduced. Only instead of improving the red coloring and shortly afterwards bringing it back to store shelves, they replaced it with Fruity Marshmallow Krispies.

Pro tip: NEVER under any circumstances substitute butter for margarine. You'll get a much better, quality version when using butter in literally everything, but Margarine is fine for coating pans to make them non-stick.

Just seeing this now but in the 80s, Critical Role cast member Taliesen Jaffe (the kid from the commercial) was given a year’s supply of the cereal and around when he was finished the cereal, they discontinued them because they contained carcinogenic red dye. I assume they’re “new” now because it’s a new recipe without the banned dye (ie - different from before)! This is something I learned today that is completely useless and I’m sure I’ll still remember it in old age when I can’t even remember my name 🤦‍♀️ good job ADHD brain.
