Wanted to share counterplay just in case people struggle against cerebro 2. Its better to enchantress blue marvel against cerebro 2 rather than cerebro because then blue marvel gets all the cerebro buffs due to his ability not making all the other cards 3 power as well. Its a very effective way to kill cerebro last turn.

Great deck. It's not just slamming down cards. You need to think of your positions as a Goose in the wrong lane can stuff you later. Went from about rank 50 to 67 currently with this. The hardest turn for me is turn 5... You have a lot of options and its important to get the order right

I just pulled Mystique yesterday, I have wanted to try out a Cerebro deck, and just watched this video. Tried this out, and what a murder machine this is. I am not the greatest card gamer and I rarely snap (just play for fun and deck building for missions), but man, I went from rank 29 to 41, I even started getting so confident with this deck that I was snapping. @@araisikewai Galactus right caps Jeff’s power a lot. They already have 3 broods down and wouldn’t have any side lanes to power it up. With a cerebro 2 deck the best card would give +6 (cerebro or marvel) so the Galactus deck would only need +13 on their next 2 turns

I was missing several cards, but i had brood, mystique and cerebro. Slotted som random 2power cards and the climb with this deck is insane. I've have a few good decks now but the climb was so slow because of the opponents leaving as soon as i snapped and also some high cube losses due to early snaps from me. With this deck every single opponent snaps you because you only have 2 locations with 2 powers. Snapback turn 6 and cerebro mystique. I've never had so many 8 cube wins in just a few hours. 9:22 when mentioning cerebro surfer, I have actually seen one build for such a list that uses 6 power cards and 3 cost 3 power cards to be buffed to 6 by surfer, these include moon night, hellcow, and hela adding some discard synergy. I haven't played it myself but if anyone was curious that's how you can make cerebro surfer, however inconsistent it may be

Watched this a few days ago and started running the list with iceman over Mr. Baku. So far been winning a ton and really enjoying piloting it and learning from my mistakes. Turn 6 Cerebro into Mystique is a great way to farm 8 cubes! I was debating invisible woman so came back to watch the highlights. I think Goose struggles from the Iceman "problem" or effect that you don't see the impact it has on restricting your opponents options. Going to leave the deck as is and not tinker. Thanks Jeff, hoping to hit new levels on the ladder this season. My previous high is mid 50s

Recently got to infinite on Negative Sera Surfer, so I was able to try some new decks without the fear of losing cubes. I got a new Cerebro variant in the season cache and decided to give this deck a go. Absolutely loving it. It's definitely a different feel from playing surfer, I don't know why but I always feel worried about how much power I can put on the board, but it constantly surprises me how much power it actually can throw down. Throwing down a turn 6 Cerebbro Mystique is pretty satisfying. Surfer might still be my go to for climbing ranks, just because I'm more comfortable with it, having played a shit ton this season. But I think I'll be playing this one till the season changes. Get more familiar/comfortable with it. Anyway all that aside its a fun deck. Cheers Jeff!

I definitely think Cerebro 2 is the most consistent of the Cerebro decks but perhaps unexpectedly I think the next best is actually Cerebro 6 after the Onslaught power change. Now I'm using Hela as my 6 drop and honestly, her paired with Black Cat, Sword Master and Hell Cow means I can get several big power cards in multiple lanes on the final turn (assuming I have cerebro and Mystique already set up earlier in the match). Also Hood > Bucky Barnes > Carnage is a nice start to a match that gets you 3 6 power cards early before any of the discarding takes place.

Skipped cerebro the other day because I thought it was a bit of an inconsistent deck vs cards like Scorpion and lands like the 9 power monster, +1 every turn, +1 or +5, throne room, etc... Interesting to hear that it is consistent for you. (Storm helps enough I guess) I am also very interested in the cerebro vs patriot matchup, seeing as they have similar build-around cards but cerebro has much more disruption and patriot has more raw stats. Cool to see.

@@ninersguy1057 I played a Cerebro 2 without Hobgoblin and that deck basically folded to Scorpion (and any other power buffing locations). Hobgoblin solves this problem by winning a lane where you have to play your powered down cards or the lane where your cards are not buffed. Most of the time you play either Blue Marvel if you need power across the board or Hobgoblin if you need to win a specific lane.

This deck is really good. Harder to play than I thought it would be, have realized my mistakes later many times. I’d like to play Goose in better ways to shut down opponent but also need to get it down early enough to have an impact which isn’t always easy.

im loving this deck so much. you were the reason i built it and its my most loved deck right now. im unsure though... im using iceman instead mbaku and instead daredevil and hobgoblin i run korg and scorpion... and even though i really like hobgoblin and daredevil... scorpion is so crucial. against negative... hitting iron man and mystique.. i played a lot negative and lost to a kamar taj or sinister london scorpion so often... im unsure what to run... i really love both but i think i cant replace other cards to keep scorpion in...

For cerebro Surfer you have to make it a 3 build. Also you can't slot maximus. I have one built. It's good, just takes some planning. Also you have to put brood with captain America, unless you have bast. I just unlocked it. It replace cap, and has its uses. That being said it's really about stacking lanes after that. It was my original Surfer build, but now I have a new Surfers Citedel, with Onslaught. Its a slight alteration from my Cerebro Surfer deck, but much stronger with more won conditions. Decks heavily rely on ramp, so Wave or Psylock, and Magic for turn 7. The latter is only important for certain combos. I'm still trying to get paylock, to increase my chances of getting the ramp on turn 4.

I tried playing Cerebro 2 and it's not bad. I think once I get Brood, it's gonna be way better. To be honest, my biggest issue with this and Patriot and Silver Surfer decks are the fact they pretty much require 1 card for the combo to work. If you play a game, where you don't draw Cerebro, the deck feels super bad, because all you have is 2 power cards in play.

My first time through with your version he felt clunky although he does give reach to other locations. I've been running Scorpion instead and wondered if you had an opinion on the trade-offs of taking out Mr. Fantastic for a two-drop. Love the content and keep up the great work.

i can still but up a lot of points and your cards still get the blue marvel buff. so yeah lot weaker without cerebro but can still win lanes and u draw a lot 2 power cards after the scorpion also. so getting 2-3 cards hit by scorpion is bad but can still win games. just see how the games go and retreat or stay depending on the board.

The worst part about Cards like Iceman and Korg, is not knowing how impactful they actually are/were in games cuz you don't see how it affects your opponent.. Hard to tell how big a difference they're making and if they're worth a slot. All I know is that almost every time someone Iceman's me, I am not a happy camper. 😅

Mbaku isn't really necessary, you can use any 2 power 1cost cards , for brood it's kind a important on the deck, but you can use scorpion for more distruption, ironman for more power, invisible woman to hide cerebro and other ongoing card

Acknowledging I am not at Jeff's skill level, I am amazed this is described as the most CONSISTENT deck. I get wrecked playing it. He mentions Storm to mitigate power buffs and subtractions. But every Scorpion wrecks me, every Hulk or Monster added to board, just SOO many things ruin the CEREBRO plan. I love this deck in concept, BUt I am definitely missing something

Luke Cage made cerebro a lot more consistent for me. You still get wrecked by monsters, and you want to avoid playing into gamma lab, and the locations that give your cards positive bonuses can also be a pain (this is where storm helps), but just removing the negative buffs meant I was retreating far less.

The things that made me move away from Cerebro - deck is too telegraphed, even more telegraphed than Patriot. So it's hard to gain a lot of cubes with it. Meanwhile, all the locations that mess with it gave me fits (even +3 power or doubling power of strongest card are destructive to it). And Scorpions everywhere too. No love for Invisible Woman?

Jeff I like your content, I think you're one of the best Snap creators atm. However, I think all you guys should put out more vids that reflect more of how an actual session of Snap plays out, with all the location fucks, strategic retreats, and straight up losses that you sometimes have little control over, because while these highlight reels are fun and make for good content and viewership, it gives people a very unrealistic view of how things actually unfold when you go and play the game yourself. Especially with a precarious archetype like Cerebro that can be very easily derailed entirely.

That is why when I put a loss into an edited video like this it is always one of the last matches. This isn't even unique to Marvel SNAP. It is the case with other card games I've done content for in the past as well. KZbin isn't a platform that honest content does well on.

Shame the short rapid fire nature of Snap games doesn't lend itself well to adding more loses into the mix like say Hearthstone does, because IMHO they can be just as exciting and entertaining in their own right.

The first three can be whatever cheap two power cards you like. Missing brood really hurts the power level of this deck though IMO.
