Good Evening my beloved lost souls! Finally, a new Cover and the first one to start this new Year! I've always loved the Song created by GHOST but sadly I couldn't cover one up until now because it never was fitting enough for my Range!
But that is different with “Candle Queen” ! I just feel straight in love with this Song and I love the Melody alone ! So of course, I hope you will enjoy this little Cover as well! Beware: My German Accent may be very strong in this Cover haha 8)

I feel like the symbolism here is that she is essentially the flame on top of a candle, melting the candle like how her actions cause the kingdom she runs to slowly break down. Eventually, the flame runs out of support, and is extinguished by the melted wax around her. Does this sound accurate?

Holy crud that makes so much sense. The Candle Queen makes so much more sense now. The only things that still confuse me are what's with the using people as ladders, sweeping eggshells under beds, the rubber hose animation art style, what it meant by “her friends have been bashed away”. We’re her friends like other flames or something?

Zoey Dean My interpretation of those lines are that she is essentially doing underhanded monarchy political stuff, using people in her court to rise to/stay in power at any cost, making laws that benefit only her and the few supporters that she has, trying to hide that anything's wrong in the court/kingdom, etc. That one line is "her friends have been pushed away", not bashed away. Her friends could potentially be princesses from other kingdoms that her kingdom had been allied with or people from the court who she grew up alongside.
