I am beyond shocked at how this show took advantage of vulnerable people to make them a comedy show. The producers begged her to reaudition knowing damn well it would it would get loads of views. Completely disregarding the fact she is clearly vulnerable & had no awareness of tone or pitch and yet they used her hope for some fucking money. Her mates begged the team to not let her do this because it was wrong. Her heartbreak of getting a no each time breaks my heart knowing the producers had begged her to come back because she had a chance. She genuinely thought each time that it would all be better.

As much as the entertainment value on these shows are good, this kind of shit is just plain mean! They screen the contestants multiple times before they even audition with the judges so they set people up to fail purely for laughs and ratings. I like The Voice better because they do not waste time like this. Do not get me wrong, I get a sick kick out of watching bad auditions but there is a line and it gets crossed.

I've seen a number of bad to awful singing auditions on various talent shows, most of which I find simply that: bad to awful. Ceri's singing, however, I put on a par with that of Florence Foster Jenkins' - and I DON'T mean that facetiously. There's nothing mediocre about either of their singing, as terrible as it is. Yes, I do find a part of me laughing - in spite of myself - because it is often hilarious to listen to; but I've also watched some of Elisabeth Schwarzkopf's Masterclass/Mastercourse students on TV, as she endeavoured to teach and train them in her exacting style (interspersed with some humorous comments/moments), and have so come to appreciate even more the numerous intricate difficulties singers are confronted with before they can achieve/perfect vocal command. Thumbs up from me, especially for Ceri's courage!
