i have both amps. this demo makes them sound almost identical, but i assure you that although they do sound very similar, the felt experience is indeed different. The OTS 20 is a beast for sure but the OTS 50 is bigger sounding on every level. It has more punch, more clean headroom... more bottom and glassier top end. Beyond that, words just fail. Both are great! Super great!

Agree, I have both but the OTS 20 is so dry and less 3D compared to the OTS 50, so you need a decent reverb or delay to compensate... I don't need any pedal for the OTS 50 and the sound is already great. OTS 20 is more like the old fender tweed deluxe and could be a superior deluxe reverb if you have a decent reverb pedal like Strymon flint. I like them both, great amp

I wish more Ceriatone amps were advertised and demoed on KZbin more often. That way people could see what kind of bang for the buck they could be enjoying instead of buying main stream cheap components amps. don't believe any talk about being inferior. This is who the main stream guys are afraid of. Great quality and tone to die for at way affordable prices compared to over inflated prices for C.E.O."s Just to grab up your hard owned blue collar dollar. Get Ceriatone get wise:-)

Does the 20 watt lunchbox amp get loud enough for playing clubs? Most of today’s 20 watt tube amps have plenty of power..

The 20 seems to have just a little, very little more, top end than the 50 with the LP. However it's so negligible, that I don't know if it's even there, or if I just think it is because I know they're 2 different amps. I have the 20, I wanted to hear it with the 50. I'm going to assume that you're hearing something different in the actual room since you're not getting compression that we're hearing naturally caused by the recording process, and the fact that it's coming through a computer or phone through the device sound program, speakers or headphones, etc. I expected a much bigger difference since the Preamp was tweaked to fit better with the lower wattage, as opposed to just building a 50 or 100W and marrying it with a smaller power section. I'm currently running it through an external 50W power amp I built that I can use either 6L6, EL34, KT88,etc. I'm going to venture that an actual 50W head WILL sound different since the Preamp is different, and I'm playing it through the larger power amp.

The low end stays together on the 50 watt amp which I prefer.

Stan at no point did either amps bottom end start to let go. At all. Maybe you should try get your ears to stay together.

Oh really? You couldn’t hear that mouse in the high end or the bull in the low end? Funny. People are hearing all sorts of things here. Nope. Me either. One as good as the other.
