The easiest way to understand this, if you have a fairly good grasp on the layman english language but not this physics language (like me), is to wikipedia all the concepts that you don't understand. Then read the layman introduktions and skip the equations

This is really wonderful news and in the future we will learn the benefits. Think back to previous discoveries and then look forward again. Physics is important - if you want to know why you can see through a lump of glass but not a rock of similar weight, you need to understand the building blocks of the universe. --- Other explanations are unsatisfactory. Women don't even join the programs (Masters and PhD) to qualify to be a Scientist, and you expect them to show up at seminars and press meets?
