10:47 Wasn't it actually elitism that led to chopping the bolts? The idea that, if someone can't climb this in the hard way that another climber considers correct, they don't deserve to experience the top of the mountain, is an elitist idea. After all, the route was still restricted to climbers: the bolt ladder didn't allow fit tourists to walk up the mountain, like Everest.
