Of a bank, specifically, in the Import Dept., where we deal with letters of Credits, Guarantees, and other trade payments. To be recognized internationally as a trader officer, an International trade-related certificate is available called Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists (CDCS). Hi Michelle ! thanks for writing in. Let me try and answer by saying that I studied the text book twice, solved all the sectional online interactive quizzes 2-3 times, solved all online multiple choice questions (after each chapter) and read through all FAQs. It took me 26 days to do all this. Studied for about 3-4 hours a day and got 85/100 on the exam. So basically the material was sufficient. Hope I was able to answer!! feel free to ask anything specific. Take care and stay safe :-)

@@Beauty5641 Hey! I would say that if you have read the text book and have done the quizzes, questions and FAQ after each chapter.. you should sail through. Honestly, i didnt find the exam very tricky.. maybe 15-20 questions were a bit tricky, rest were quite ok for me. How I approached the exam was - I read the theory chapters (first few and last few chapters) in the end and before the exam as I was faltering in the sectionals quizzes on them. quizzes are a good indicator of your preparation. Please let me know if you want to know anything else. Happy to help!! :)

Hey! thanks for writing in. I think you have 2 basic questions: a) Should you do it from India: Well you can however, I think you should wait because of 2 reasons: firstly, this course is valid for 3 years and with covid situation right now, its better to wait and not kill into your 3 yrs validity period. secondly, you require a Canadian address where they will send you all your details. You can't order the physical book and you will have to study online. Exam is remotely protocoled hence shouldn't be a problem Moreover, you will get a good amount of time once you come here to do it since you will be in quarantine and it takes some time to settle here. Wont take you long to finish. I am still not settled and looking for something :-) b) Online/Physical exam: It makes no difference. IFC or CSC are basic courses to start your basic retail banking career in Canada. Actually, you didn't do it at all because if bank selects you, they will ask you to complete in order for you to sell investment products (which you cant sell without a licence). So, I did this course in order to strengthen the CV. Hope it helped :-) Do let me know if you have any other query.
