ITProTV team, I am planning to start preparation on CEH v11 with course on ITProTv which is in production as of now (CEH v11). I believe that most probably this will get entirely uploaded till 1st week of OCTOBER. Just wanted to know which subscription should I choose here (Between standard and Premium)? Also, does this CEH v11 course contains labs or I will have to do it separately? I am little bit perplexed between choosing membership. Any advise would be highly appreciated!

So isn't this technically CEH v11 for the course / training material and the exam is actually 312-50. Sort of two separate things perhaps.

That may be true, but I've never heard anyone refer to the exam as the "312-50", but only as the 'CEH exam'.

Let's cut to the chase, does HR/8579 care or is version 10 still okay?

I would say that CEH v10 is still relevant, so if you're studying for that or are recently certified with v10 you'll be OK. HR probably doesn't know the difference anyway, they just get tasked to find candidates with CEH certification. The hiring manager would be more interested in which version you have and like I said v10 is still relevant.

The exam is too new to be able to tell, as Daniel has not taken the v11 exam yet. Ultimately, it depends on your current knowledge and experience. It could take anywhere from 1-10 months depending on ones commitment to studying and previous experience on the exam objectives. Best of luck to you on your studies!

I'm currently a cybersec undergrad in my 2nd year here in the uk. From what I understand employers prefer certs instead of degrees, so which cert would be the best for me if I wanna pursue a pentesting career ? CEH, Pentest+, CySA, Security+? Something that isn't very hard obviously, but nothing thats easy either

Pentest+ and CEH are the go-to certifications for what you are looking for. However, they are difficult exams that expect you to already have a pretty good base of knowledge would recommend you get your Security+ first, and then get your Pentest+ or CEH. Security+ is not enough to get you a pentesting job, but it will prepare you for the more difficult certifications that will get your resume in the right places. Best of luck to you on your studies! Hello ItProTV, I had some questions. Actually, I have aspen account where I am studying CEHv10. However, as CEHv11 exam will be released from January 1st. My question is what will happen to my courseware if I don't take exam before 1st Jan? Even if I take my exam before 1st Jan, I will be certified as CEHv10, can I upgrade that to CEHv11? As I have CEHv10 courseware now, is there anyway I can upgrade that to CEHv11 and take exam after the new release? Hope you or anyone will help me with my queries!

Do you need a employeer or someone to vouch for you to take the exam? Or can I take this exam just as simple as I took the Security+ ( meaning all I did was pay for the exam and the study material )

The exam is changing, but from what I've seen/heard so far the changes aren't massive. The syllabus for v11 is identical to v10 (at least the one I saw) with just more emphasis on certain areas. You'll only need to prepare again if you feel that you need v11 for some reason, like job requirements or you think it will give you a competitive edge in the job market.

Actually I have taken ceh course on institute ' Hacker school' on india . And they told now kit is provided In the form of online. But earlier in ceh v10 kit provided physical.

The CEH v10 exam will be available to take until May 15, 2021, but only by those that purchased the exam before Dec 31, 2020. No new CEHv10 exam vouchers are currently available.
