No Karthik, topics from where you can get few hard questions are network policies, probes and etcd backup and restore

Hi Tariq.... will be there any question wherein you need to download a yaml or package from the internet to configure the cluster or node etc. if so, will they provide us the URL to download the yaml and/or package

No Karthik, there will not be any questions like that, they give you fully built clusters to work on, at most they can ask is to upgrade the kubernetes version, which can be done using apt-get

If bash-completion package is not installed, then install it using yum or apt bash-completion and then source it like source

Thanks for the info - a quick question regarding CKA - for etcd backup - do we have to login to master node from student@node with sudo -i to run etcd backup.

you would but you would not have etcdctl installed on master, that would only be available on student node

For ETCD restore from snapshot, did you update the etcd.yaml file with the directory location of the restored snapshot of etcd in the exam environment?

yes, else your restore will not work

Good question Ashish...I think if its a short interruption then it doesn’t affects the exam, say for a min or two but if its a longer outage then you need to reschedule...you should plan to give the exam on mobile network i would say

nope, no need for external camera, laptop's camera is enough

after completing a question ,whether it will be validated immediately correct or wrong ? ..if wrong can u try that solution again ..its confusing how it will be..

No, its not validated immediately, you can go back to any question and change your answer, but since its a handon exam, like you would be creating pods and services, so be really careful, cause making mistake means you would have to redo everything from beginning

so they won't ask you to build the cluster, you would actually get around 6 clusters already created

setting up lab env is a complex task, you can setup a kubernetes cluster for your practise but its better to buy lab env from somewhere like killer.sh

Hi Anand You cannot have "multiple images to run in one container", that wouldn't make sense. What you can do is run multiple services using different images, something like in docker-compose

Not more than 2-3 questions but weightage will be high, I cant tell you the questions as you sign an NDA plus I also dont remember but they will be related to misconfiguration in some files

I have few questions .Plz can you answer them. 1. Do copy paste button do not work in exam?? If not then how to work?? - yes, copy-paste is allowed since you have access to Kubernetes docs and would require you to copy a lot of stuff. - ssh root@node works fine for sshing - some where around 17-18 questions

CKAD is comparatively easy, CKA has a few questions that can take a lot of time so time management becomes really important
