This was wrong in so many levels, I don’t think cerclage is safe after 20 weeks especially if you were already bleeding. I’m so glad that you and your baby boy are doing well. At the end of the day it’s all up to God.

I had 3 cerclage & lost all my sons at 23&24wks. 1 I went into labor pains ,2 my water broke. Eventually, I told my husband I couldn’t do this anymore. I would try one more time but with no cerclage, because even though it does work for so many for me it wasn’t working. Dr stated cerclage for some makes you go into early labor. i’m blessed to say my daughter was born a day before her due date she was huge healthy& Beutiful. I had no cerclage& no bed rest. I am not suggesting anyone do this. I did this for myself because I had lost three years of my life in the bed and also mourning the loss of my sons. I enjoyed my pregnancy with my daughter. I was even in a water park when I was 32 weeks, not on rides but the lazy river I wholeheartedly put all my faith and positive energy into this pregnancy. For the woman’s still struggling, my prayers are with you, and please don’t lose hope there are many ways to bring a child into your life& haveeee boiled blessed child as I have. Yes she is very very spoiled and I’m OK with that. Everyone should spoil your children their children for so short of a time& my daughter is still a loving & a good kid❤

I had circlage 2 days before and now i am having some kind of clear fluid discharge with blood stains. Is it amniotic fluid? A little bit of clear discharge is normal but if there are blood stains it can cause concern, you need to immediately consult with the doctor if you see blood.

I have 24 weeker daughter very healthy now 14 year old. We had same situation that by 22 weeks dilation started we didn’t-go for cerclage and baby born at 24 weeks. After 4.5 months hospital-stay baby came home. No heart problems, no brain bleeding, no infections or any major issues when came home. Eventually minor problems got better. She is behind at school but not a big worry because being healthy is important to me than textbooks. She is independent with most of her care.

3.9 CM is a good cervical length, take one day at a time and be grateful for each passing day. Worries and stress can increase chances of premature birth. I lost 3 sons due to incompetent cervix I always went into labor at 23 and 24 weeks but my daughter I chose not to do cerclage and she was born a day before her due date so I put my faith in my God and I ask that you do the same. Same happened to me I lost three sons. The first one was at 23 weeks the two other ones I had cerclage it did not work but please listen. Eventually I had a daughter full term a day before her due date she was born I had chose to not do cerclage this time. @@kumarnds18 my emergency cerclage done at 21st week. 5.5mm was dilated Only 0.5 mm only remaining to hold the baby. Cerclage done and in the 22nd week I lose my 3rd baby also... Very tough to bare this pain.. my suggestion, plz spend more time with ur wife and keep her with positive... Hope u get positive result this time...
