You mentioned 2 surgeries... What about a lamincectomy? I was diagnosed with cervical stenosis at levels C3-5 and with myelopathy. I am waiting on a second opinion, but the first doctor I spoke with wants to do a posterior laminectomy without a fusion. I am 57, still rather active, and have had 1 bout of radiculopathy months ago, have stiffness and mild pain, weakness and abnormalities on reflex tests- but I do not have urinary, bowel or gait issues. I am worried about this surgery and the recovery, especially since I live alone- what tips/ recommendations do you have?
