Cerwin-Vega XLS-215 playing Twerk It Like Miley - with a lot of bass!

Do you think the crown xls 2502 will be sufficient to push 2 xls215s ? Or would you recommend the crown xti 2002. Thanks for any suggestions.

Slayer3112, thanks for the response. I have had the xls215 and the xls2502 set up for a few days now. I’m happy with the results. Amp sensitivity set to .775

Should i sell my sony shake 5 stereo and buy the xls215 and crown xti4002? :)

I checked up on the Sony Shake 5 specs and the Crown XTI4002 and calculated on them. I found that the Sony Shake 5 Wattage on the amplifier is a little cheating because it is calculated in lower ohms. And the Crown XTI4002 is a well constructed amplifier for 8 ohm speakers but the XTI2002 can do just as well because the maximum wattage input on the XLS-215's are 500 per speaker. So yes I would do it not just because you will get more power, but also because that you can play well without a subwoofer because the XLS-215 can deliver extreme amounts of deep bass you can't here it well in the video but trust me, I was really surprised when I bought them. The sony shake 5 that i have now i got for 700 euros so its good for its price but they cant play deep bass, the xls215 and xti4002 together is 2700 euros so its a little difference. And do you recommend buying the xls215 for a 3x4 meter room?

I don't have a 3x4 meter room but mine is 4x5 meters so yes I would recommend it. But you could buy less like XLS-15's and a XTI2002 but in the end if you have a solid amplifier Cerwin Vega will always deliver good amounts of bass. I actually think that the XTI4002 is a little too big an amplifier for the XLS-215's because that you never should play the speakers with a 450 watts or more then you'll just break them.

So maybe the cv-1800 or cv-2800 amplifier got enough power for the xls215 to shake the whole house? :)

MrMegaismo Yes both the cv-1800 and the cv-2800 has enough power for the xls-215's because i have a technics SA-AX6 Sorround receiver that i can deliver less than 200 Watts per speaker because that it has a power supply on 400 Watts so yes they can shake the hole house.

If you don't have the power the speakers will suck the amp or stereo dead also you need a fan set up I. Have a six pack fan set up for my amp
