I'm from Seattle but I lived here for about 3 years with my wife. Her uncle owned a boat rental place called the lake Whitney wet spot. Jet ski rentals, pontoon boats and bass fishing adventure stuff. It is a great place to live. In fact my daughter Madelyn was conceived on this lake in one of the coves. In 2005. It was the beautiful Texas sunset that put us in the mood

New to your channel. Love your videos, great quality and informational. I have lake Whitney as one of my next paddle destinations after Caddo Lake and stumbled across this video. Keep em coming! Btw, have you heard of the underwater caves in Lake Whitney? Not that they’re meant to be disturbed, but I just think it’ll be fascinating to hear some history about them.

Thank you for watching and thank you so much for your kind comments! No, I have not heard about the underwater caves. I’m going to Google it and check it out to see what I can find out. Have a great week!

I enjoy your videos it's helped me find places a lot easier then if I did it on my own. I would like to see more videos on the paddling trails that are set up in Texas throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. In Texas state parks and the ones that are not in the Texas State Park. My wife is disabled and goes kayaking with me and your videos have made it easy for me to decide which ones work for her and which ones don't. When you do the extra activities like jumping off the Rock at Lake Whitney it would be neat to see how easy or hard it was to get on the rock and any other Adventures that you take like that. keep up the good work thank you for your videos.

Mike, your comments mean so much to me, Thank You! I will continue to add more and more destinations throughout Texas, with an emphasis on North Texas. I just got back from North Carolina where I shot three separate videos.

Have missed seeing videos! Looks like this is a beautiful place to Kayak! How far from DFW is it located? We lived by TCU the first 2 years we were there then in Weatherford the last 2 years before moving to FL last year. Heading back in Spring for our oldests graduation from UTA and would love to bring our kayaks and hit this area.

Another great video! You've brought Lake Whitney to my attention as a paddler. Thank you. You might enjoy the San Marcos river, it is the most beautiful river in this part of Texas. Also, check out Lake Georgetown, it is a smaller ACOE lake.
@KayakCliff4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for the suggestion James! Where do you put in on the San Marcos? Can you get a lot of miles on it?
@jameslidgey31614 жыл бұрын
There access points on the San Marcos all up and down the river, right now because of Covid some parks are not open. Best to check with a local first www.paddlewithstyle.com/ You can do 5/6 ,mile paddles or longer.
