In the past, my face looked dull. However, I managed to achieve radiant skin, free from pimples and dark spots, by adopting these practices. -: 1. Ensuring I drink at least 3 to 4 liters of water every day. 2. Having carrots or carrot juice daily. 3. Using Littlextra Ricebery face wash daily, which is derived from black rice water known for its superior skin benefits compared to regular white rice water. 4. Engaging in intense workouts at the gym and sweating heavily. 5. Performing facial steam or full-body steaming sessions every 18 days.

It’s interesting that so many companies are reformulating their products due to the “clean” beauty movement (not sure that’s the right word but you get the gist.) in this case It seems like removing parabens and sulfates has lead to an overall improvement in the formulations at the drugstore. I’m pretty happy about it! Currently I’m using up a few Cerave cleansers but I’ll try these next time. Thanks for the great review!

I think part of the reformulation has to do w/the supply chain issues going on. a lot of skincare prices are going up and reformulation may have prevented cetaphil from having to do that
@HeatherFonseca3 жыл бұрын
@@rencher013 that is possible, but the supply chain problems and spike in inflation are fairly new. Having worked for a large consumer product company I think something as major as a reformulation of a classic and popular product would have to have taken years just to get past all the meetings. I think it probably has more to do with consumer trends. “Clean” beauty is a big trend with a quickly rising market share, whether dermatologists like it or not. These companies must adapt their products to consumer demands.

Same here, niacinamide doesn’t go well with my skin. I’ve tried their new formulation and my skin broke out real bad after 4 days of usage. I had to buy 10 250ml bottles of their old formulation just so I have stock until the end of the year. I really hope Galderma would still make the old formulation just for the sake of their loyal consumers who are used to the old one.

I have normal to combo skin and love using the gentle cleansing versus the daily cleansing. Even though my T-zone can get oily I loved the gentle cleansing because it would help remove makeup, leave my face clean and soft. I just picked up the new formulation and haven’t had any issues, just don’t really like the smell….not too terrible but weird like plastic. I used to love their antibacterial bar soap but after a while it was too harsh. Other than the cleanser I don’t use many of their products

Update***** I definitely do not like the new formulation as it dries me out/broke out in rash like patches on my forehead. Had to run out to a mom and pop store/beauty supply to find the original

I’m not happy about these changes. Too many products have too much of that stuff and it irritates my skin. Niacinamide and hyaloronic acid irritates my skin and everything has these ingredients. I’ve had to stop using CeraVe, and most neutrogena, also most of oil of Olay. A couple of months ago I bought a small of cedaphil face and body cream, I was liking that. Now I can’t get it anymore. I’ve done an exhaustive search for products that I can actually use without irritating and burning. 😡

I am an older woman who still breaks out and don't wear foundation, so my physician recommends Spectro Derm. I use Cerave currently and prescription products for acne. I get VERY DRY, ALMOST SCABBY but I am also still really oily- I've got the old Cetaphil in my Amazon cart- I'd appreciate your advice. I also rely on Aveeno's soap free, oatmeal bar- everything causes zits and I am a bit fed up! Excellent video as always. Namaste.

I used Cetaphil lotion for 10 years. I'm allergic to new glycerin (it's made from soy). :< I used it for 4 days and felt horrible, in the same way I feel when I put soybean oil on my skin. Also not sure if Niacinamide irritates my skin, too, or not, but my skin definitely felt tight and red. I have some empty-ish bottles of the old formula left. I have 0 idea what I'm going to do when they run out. My face has already been very sad because I've been trying to thin the old formula with aloe and a little oil. :

I am one of those who are sensitive to phenoxyethanol. When I use a product that has it on my face, my eyes burn (even when I apply well away from my eyes), and I get small raised itchy bumps on my face. And if I use a mascara with it, it burns my eyes like crazy even more. So hard to find products without it now, since there's pressure to go paraben-free, and phenoxyethanol seems to be the default substitute. I'm happy to see these reformulations that don't use it.

Thank you for sharing info on the change in ingredients. I’ve used the gentle skin cleanser for years; unfortunately the new formulation has been leaving my skin burning and bright red similar to a fresh sunburn for the first 5 minutes after use. Thinking it may be sensitive to the niacinimide

i just got my new formulation cetaphil gentle skin cleanser for all skin types , and when i just used it for the first time and it stung my skin which never happened before with the older formulation. i dont think niacinamide irritates my skin(?) since i’ve been using the ordinary’s 10%niacinamide+ 1%zinc and nothing wrong happened with it so far (abt 5months?)

I’ve used the old gentle skin cleanser for a very long time, almost 6 years. I thought it would be very nice with the new formula (I tried the dry sensitive one) but it caused me a very big break out while using it and I’m stil facing its consequences :(. The new one burned my face like 30s after applied, especially when I used it for the eyes-surrounding zone, my eyes was really hurt. And the worse part is, my face started to have oil even I’m a dry-normal skin :((.

Hi dr dray hope you're having a great day, I'd really appreciate if you can make a video Sharing ur thoughts and feelings about: the new reformulation of Missha first treatment essence, new drunk elephant C firma vitamin C powder, cerave doubling the amount of niacinamide in their products, Cetaphil using phenoxyethanol instead of parabens, latest FAB sudden reformulations, Paula's choice getting acquired by Unilever!???...... Hope you can cover some of these points in future videos❤️
@monicaduncan71093 жыл бұрын
I reach out to FAB about their sneaky formula change, especially the FAB ultra repair cream changing the extract to an essential oil and still taunting it for eczema and sensitive skin? While it’s ok to have a formula change, what isn’t ok is not informing their customers . Oh I wasn’t aware that Cerave double the amount of niacinamide interesting , great request Elias I hope Dr Dray makes a video too as we love her thoughts and feelings on such topics 😊
@db-gb5xi3 жыл бұрын
You know she's not a vit c fan? I know some other channels have reviewed it though. A lot of brands have gone to phenoxyethanol instead of parabens due to the fear of parabens. It's also not unusual for brands to reformulate products after being acquired by other companies (FAB and DE come to mind). k-beauty brands seem to be notorious for reformulating their stuff (No BS Beauty has a recent video about the Missha essence; she wasn't happy about it).

i looooooooove the cetaphil BHA cleanser after you recommended it a few months ago. it's great. a lot of cleansers irritate my skin now. i developed an allergy to something in the eucerin redness relief gel cleanser. it's so nice that it actually lathers but is still really gentle. i find it can be a lil drying though because of the BHA so i don't use it all the time maybe a few times a week
