what will be the maximum communication range and is it possible to carry audio transmission?
@mikesterling39493 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the clear, powerful explanation. This is a "broadcast" sort of communication, isn't it ? Is it possible to do one-to-one communication with LoRa ? I mean, the sender decides who shall receive .... And the receiver only listens to "white-listed" senders ?
@tobiashegemann18112 жыл бұрын
P2P communication is possible with Lora and should have a higher usable bandwidth than LoraWAN, TTN or even a Lora meshes. But You would lose reliability and range because at least the receiver must use Class C Lora (Continues Listening) witch isn't great for power consumption.

Hey man! Greetings from Norway! I'm looking around for parts and ideas for a project of mine. I want to create a set of "walkie talkies" for my kids (boys 6 and 9). So some kind of IM device with an OLED screen and a tiny keyboard. Been thinking about using LoRa, ESP, or ZigBee, but yeah, .. u get the Idea? What would you suggest? I think 433 - 900MHz is good for penetrating walls etc, plus distance. Please let me know if you have any tips on how to get this happening, or if you know of some projects, please do tell! I'd like it to be like two small devices with a numpad (old phone keyboard) or a mini mini keyboard, a small 3-4 inch display and maybe a small speaker for incoming chat. Would you like to help me out?

Thanks for this video, it was very easy to follow and I have two working modules that are communicating successfully. I have two questions though: 1. I plan to use this with more than two similarly configured devices. Is there a way to make them broadcast as a unique name so when a device receives a message, it shows the sending devices "name" rather than "HIM:"? 2. Is there a way to interact with and program the RYLR LoRa module without having to disconnect it? I'd like to be able to configure it on the go, to change the network ID, address, and parameters from within the serial interface without having to disconnect it from the ESP module. Thanks for your time.
@Lokakyn4 жыл бұрын
For anyone else wondering, I figured out how to command a default configuration for the LoRa module on startup, as well as sending a configurable name at the beginning of each message to identify the sending station. DM me if interested.

Hi, you mentioned that these modules work on 890 Mhz band, but as per the indian standards LoRa can use only 865-867 Mhz band and also the 433 Mhz band because they are license free bands. I want to create a Lora network, but I dont think REYAX890 modules will comply with the rules set by theIndian regulatory bodies. Any suggestions on this? Thanks

@dankestporter4 жыл бұрын
Look up bridgefy app : it uses bluetooth to create mesh network for communication & if no one around uses wifi / cellular. I'm looking into building Raspberry Pi node boxes and then finding a way to add lora into this somehow.... because the app will run on "android things" on the Pi, so hypothetically it could communicate over Lora as well.
