50kbps sounds like so little today. However, as long as you don't send images, audio or video 50kbps is limitless for controlling remote devices. You could still control hundreds of devices at the same time. The idea is to send as little as possible so that your sensors have insane battery life.

Useful in forest. A lot of motion sensors are placed to check the movement of the animals and manually it needs to be checked. With the help of it, data can be sent over to the control room even in harsh conditions.

I am looking for solutions to a problem my neighbors are creating for me. They talk at night but in a disguised but understandable way, it sounds like a poor quality ultrasonic suppressor. Or trivially a transmitter and I hear them through headphones .... . I also sense the noises and vibrations during the night hours. In summary I would like to build myself something good so that I can record them (since they have been going on for three years until now) and have them stopped. What do you recommend for at least 5\10 meters of action. I will stand by. Thank you very much.

Low frequency data transmission , because of narrow bandwidth the data transmission will be limited. If you use the frequency wave length at about 2 meter you have to apply a repeater on the hill to make sure the good coverage up to 100 km. this is a knowledge of low frequency coverage area instead of using 3G 4g 5g . But low frequencies will serve only narrow bandwidth most of them only for the purpose of ameuter radio as an experiment. Also the antenna will be too long to use because of low frequencies. It is difficult to get a strong and stable signal for 500km long range even though you use frequencies 7Mhz transmission with a very big antenna up to 14feet height.

Ensuring the public domain status of LoRa and LoRaWAN technology, akin to the early internet's openness, involves advocating for open standards, promoting community-driven development, and embracing open source software and hardware. By releasing relevant patents and documentation into the public domain or under permissive licenses, fostering regulatory policies that support unlicensed spectrum use, and raising awareness about the benefits of open technologies, we can democratise access to LoRa and LoRaWAN. Additionally, encouraging the establishment of community networks empowers local communities to own and govern their communication infrastructure, fostering resilience and self-reliance. These efforts collectively preserve LoRa and LoRaWAN's potential for widespread adoption, innovation, and societal impact while guarding against corporate encroachment.

Starting to wonder about security. If you use gsm you get all the network firewalls etc. but really sms isn't secure in the first place. But if you did care about intercepts... Or... if you do use it for sensor data or other things, if it's not secure then your system could be hacked and stuff could even be destroyed, say someone sends bad data on a temperature sensor and then your stuff overheats or something.... Basically your own mini stuxnet lol. Idk much about the subject. But I'm trying to learn.
