This is a modified K&B engine from Clarence Lee. It's a real powerhouse! Music: Some Obsession by Silent Partner

I have 2 NIB CF Lee Veco 61s I actually bench started 1 for a test. Saving them for a future twin project when retirement ever gets here. Thanks for the video.

Man that sounds good! I have 4 of these K&B .61's. They just won't die! And the Perry carbs a great too.

@@xKmotx Rodger that! I’m still searching for a reverse rotation crankshaft. FYI, I have 2 new FOX Eagle’s and and a reverse crankshaft for one of them. I’ve been stocking up for years.

You need a cement block on that stand. As always, an awesome job on the engine!

Looks and even sounds better than new. What fuel and lube are you burning?
So more speed more noice..and smell. You enjoy life..

Thank you Bernhard! Yes it is true, I love the little engines, the sound, and the smell of the exhaust. 😊👍 And especially when I restore a vintage or special engine, as is this one. 😎

If I recall, Clarence Lee's outfit would re-work the KB 61. Man what a blast from the past. I think Lee wrote a column for Model Aviation or RC Modeler way back when...

Clarence did all the machine and modification work himself in his little home shop in Sunland, Calif. Yes, first the Veco 61 and it Veco later became the K&B line. He wrote a monthly "Engine Clinic" column for RCM until it folded. Then he continued his column at MAN. Sadly he passed away suddenly last year.

I have one of these engines i've aquired, and i'm trying to remove the cylinder. I read about putting a piece of wooden on top of the piston and push up on the cylinder in the exhaust port. It still hasn't budged even after warming it up. any suggestions?

It is most likely seized up due to hardened castor oil residue. It needs to be heated up very hot to loosen the castor. Thick leather glove hot. Or alternatively, soak it in a heated anti-freeze in a crockpot on high for a day or so.
