Sir make videos of CAIA, CMT AND FRM as well and i have one question that why CFA student will go for CPA? CPA is totally based on accounting and other subjects are like CA, when a student is into financial markets why should they go to accounting and taxation?

Like you said A CFA student should go fot CA CPA etc, can you please tell why should they go into the side of finance that they dont want to work in? Like most of the CFAs work into equity research, portfolio management and none of these subjects are in CPA,ACCA etc?

I have worked in assurance for a Big4 and worked in an investment bank. CPA, ACCA or CA will definitely complement CFA. There are several reasons so just naming a few. These courses prepare a professional to develop deep understanding of Balance Sheet and their fundamental analysis. A skill CFA lacks. Also taxation (both national and international) helps. As a CFA is expected to do investment appraisal for national and international projects where the tax paid or with held are crucial part of the analysis. CA, CPA or ACCA helps here as well.

I have a very simple answer to this. A student is not eligible for CFA until graduation and ends up wasting a lot of time until he/she finally starts preparing for CFA. Rather than wasting that time it is better spent learning a skill or a qualification like ACCA , CIMA or CMA US. Contrary to beleive CFA is not an expert on everything in finance. They specialise in portfolio management and very little of corporate finance MBA Finance specialises in corporate finance and very little in portfolio management. FRM specialise in risk management. CFA talks very little about risk management even though it is an essential part of finance. CMA US specialises on financial management and planning of a company, CFA does not talks about this in detail. Besides these facts CFA is low on skill sets which need to learn separately.

I had completed English Hons back in 2008 and completed MA & MBA (HR) through correspondence course in 2013. I'm planning to add to my credentials and rise up as fast as possible in PNB (the fastest being a minimum of 3 yrs between promotions) I'll be eligible for the next promotion process in 2024. So I've got a solid 3 years to go for the credentials. PNB prefers ICWA, CA, CFA, FRM So what in your opinion should I go for, considering my background. Will an MBA in Finance (distance education) be of much help? I've thought of completing a few certificate courses in Treasury and Risk Management as well as Wealth management from IIBF. In addition to that, which one should I go for CFA or FRM? Currently I'm working as a branch head but would really love to switch over to Treasury/Risk Management/Investment Banking division of PNB
