CFA can become CEO in the financial institutions. But most of the CFA become CIO (chief investment officer) rather than CFO Where CAs are predominantly there.

I am doing CFA but I don't have time and enough finance currently to pursue MBA from good college so I have planned to do CFA ,CIPM,FRM first then or alongside gain some work ex and then go for MBA executive. most of the best CEO's do not have amasters degree, oit of the top 50, 26 don't have it. CEO = MBA Absolutely not, definitely helps you understand management holistically, but doesn't mean you can't be a ceo without Mba

Very nicely explained but i have a question related to work experience. In my case being from an engineering background i will only be able to get technical jobs and won't be eligible for finance jobs so my experience won't be relevant to the field i want to switch to. Additionally I am also not really keen on taking up a technical 12 hrs + job for a less pay which would leave very less time for any studies. So in this case should one consider choosing mba without work experience to get a start ??

See it’s a very good question, depends on the fintech thing you have in your mind. If it is related to risk managemnent - frm If not risk management, then cfa will give you a good boost, mba would teach you many concepts including marketing a bit of accounting, HRM - so that would be a good blend and give you chance to network, thus if you can learn all these on your own, amazing don’t do mba, otherwise giving 2 years for mba after some work ex would not be a bad choice
