The biggest villain of college football is us, the fans. The only time a segment of fans are happy is win their team wins. When that doesn’t happen, you hear everything from it’s the refs fault. The head coach doesn’t know football. I would have made that play. The system needs to be burnt to the ground. We are never happy, we tear each other apart, and we are all football experts. The term dynasty however, can be divided into two categories, modern dynasties (say in the last 20 years) and historic dynasties (60-100 years) So many of the teams on that list would qualify as historic dynasties.

I can't what until Tuesday. Then all we have to worry about is high school player commitments, the NIL, the NFL draft, and speculate on the UM sanctions. However I don't see any of the proposed rule changes making officiating better, so I'll settle for a change to NFL style kickoff to reduce injuries.

I grew up in Nebraska in the 80s and we loved to hate Bosworth. As obnoxious as he was, he wasn't a bad guy (unlike, say Bill McCarthy at Colorado). And he was brilliant. There were enough stories going around that most people knew "The Boz" was a character that he played. I knew an O lineman on the Nebraska team who Bosworth trash talked in the media. (I won't say his name because he's never told this story publicly.) When OU played Nebraska, the Boz had a bad game and the lineman showed him up a little, and the lineman made a few gestures on the field to let Bosworth know that he was getting the better of the Boz. But a few weeks later, the two happened to get seated on a plane next to each other. The lineman said Bosworth was extremely nice and funny in real life. They became good friends for many years later. Bosworth was a brilliant marketer. The Boz is certainly a villain, but Brian Bosworth isn't.

The only thing that ND has ever meant to me was when I watched Rudy. I mean, maybe Brian Kelley coming from ND when he joined the LSU coaching staff meant something in terms of ND. But even when that happened, i was more into his sudden southern accent and the fact that we didn't have Cookie Monster as our head coach. And to be fair Coach O did get us Burrow and a Nat'l Title. But Brian Kelley was breath of fresh air. Regarding that sudden southern accent, all i can say is we tend to rub off on them yankees. We can't help it. Lol, LorT this comment when off on a tangent.

As far as villans go, people seem to hate a winner. It's a sad statement of their lives, but it holds true when someone just keeps winning. Jealousy is an ugly character trait. So is envy. One can be both a villian and a dynasty, a hero so to speak, at the same time to different people/fan bases.

everyone bashed Ole Miss for losing horribly to Florida, in which they did. but I keep stressing to people how good Florida was once healthy and when Mertz went down for the season. Florida beat LSU Ole Miss and would’ve beaten Georgia if DJ Lagway hadn’t of gotten hurt. all this happened in a BAD year, especially in the start. they started with the #1 SOS and ended with the #3 SOS. they return the same schedule next year. unless FSU somehow turns it around, Florida goes 10-2. remember: a lot of freshman started in the SEC last year. a lot of those freshman are part of the loaded 2027 QB

“Time and its passage changes all things. One place, however, has sustained a spirit and a tradition for so long that its story has evolved into legend.” -NFL FILMS’ JOHN FACENDA. When you ask, ‘What is a dynasty?’ Let me propose another viewpoint. 100 years ago this month, Jan 1925, Notre Dame won the Rose Bowl and a national championship. Flash forward, it’s Jan 2025. Notre Dame is once again playing for a natty. Between these two dates, 11 national championships, and a chance for #12 on Jan 20th. That’s averaging > than 1 natty every decade FOR THE LAST 100 YEARS.

OhioSt wins this year they’ll have won both the first 4 cfp and this new 12 cfp… I only know this cuz I’m an ‘09Bammer who was pissed in ‘14 losing to a team that should’ve been a speed hump for another ‘chip against Oregon

OSU killed the Miami dynasty and their will. They have never been the same since that game in 2002.

Only for the top 20 programs after week one 67 teams no longer had any games that mattered so for you I might’ve been the golden age but for the rest of collage football not at all

9:55 ain’t no way Josh called Mitch Jeter “Collin”. Man has picked against ND this entire season, and now can’t even bother to respect the name of the man who won the orange bowl for ND ☘️ The absolute disrespect!

Respect a name? What a ridiculous thing to say.

See Josh this is where you were mistaken. College football evolved past Brian Kelly. Not Notre Dame
